"A welcome in the woods!"

4.0

Geoff was very friendly and hospitable, and welcomed us with a cup of tea. We also received a very warm welcome by Alice, their friendly and energetic dog.! The location was enchanting, though somewhat tricky to find! For guests able to go walking, there are plenty of foot paths to explore in the surrounding woods, part owned by the National Trust. The bed was comfortable and there was a large flat screen tv mounted on the wall. A good feature was the breakfast room, with a fridge and kettle available for guests to use. We were entertained during breakfast by the pet parrot, an excellent mimic! Sadly, we were only there for one breakfast and one and a half nights as our visit was cut short due to illness. Our best wishes to Geoff and Ann, and our thanks for their hospitality.

I had informed the B&B when booking that I had limited mobility due to Parkinson's and needed to use a rollator and was assured all was OK, but it soon became clear that the venue was unsuitable for disabled visitors. The path to the front door was very uneven and there was a difficult step to climb by the front door. The bathroom, separate from the bedroom, was fine for an able bodied person, but to use the shower you had to climb into the steep sided bath., impossible for me.The toilet seemed very low, and without a side rail was difficult to use. It would have been nice to have a couple of comfortable chairs in the bedroom, but it was not big enough to accommodate them. My wife and I were the only guests, but if a second bedroom was in use, it would have meant sharing the bathroom, OK for a family but otherwise unacceptable. I don’t wish to be negative, Geoff has worked hard to make the venue attractive and was very helpful, but I am just pointing out some changes that would be needed in order to improve accessibility.

"Very good"

Plenty of space in the room. Genial host. Woodland walks very close to property.. Very comfortable bed and excellent tv. Very peaceful. Good breakfast cooked in aga.

No kettle in room and couldn't find a hair dryer but I am sure that tea etc could be made in the host's kitchen on request.

"calm and peaceful stay for work."

10.0

The breakfast was great, just what i wanted. a good selection of food. I liked the calm peaceful location. i do get a bit anxious staying away for work somtimes, you never know what you'll get. But geoff was nice, and chatty, but also gave me my space and wasn't in my face. He has a lovely clean home, warm and cosy, i wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

I spent 2 days here for work, wish i could have stayed longer, to spend the a few days at the beach!!

"Huntersbeare Stay."

9.0

We liked the location. Lots of options for lovely walks. Geoff was a very welcoming host throughout our stay. He made us very welcome by making us a nice cup of tea upon arrival before showing us to our room. Geoff was willing to go above and beyond if there was something that wasn't there, he was willing to go and get. To get to the B&B, if coming Sheringham way: turn right at Station Road, which then joins Sandy Lane - follow right the way through until you get to the Roman Camp Caravan Park. If coming from Cromer way, turn left at Station Road which then joins onto Sandy Lane (same as above).

"We were happy with our stay and would happy to have stayed longer ."

Breakfast was very good with plenty of options.Mr Cooper was very attentive and we found him very helpful and obliging, double bed very comfortable and bathroom was great.

Signage could be better, we drove by several times before spotting the house sign. This is a very nice house but externally there is work to be done.
