Rivosen Camp Yala Safari

Midden in de jungle werden we vriendelijk onthaald en verwend met een diner bij kaarslicht en kampvuur. Vroeg in de ochtend 5.00 uur stond de koffie klaar voordat we op safari gingen. Bij terugkomst een heerlijk ontbijt. En alles met een glimlach. Maak het mee, het is de moeite waard.

We had such a good, memorable time here. Taken very well care of by Manju (the owner), we enjoyed a very comfortable stay in the wild, off the beaten track, with beautiful nature all around us. The food was delicious and filling, vegetarian and vegan diets catered for completely. They lit us a fire one night and we enjoyed dinners by candlelight every night. The beds were super comfy and the large hut that we stayed in was very spacious - good for all bags and clothes. Manju organised our safari day and our trip to a local beach. He was ready to meet our every need and was very kind and friendly with our children too.

Small plastic bottles with every meal. If they could set up a water tank where you can fill cups and reusable bottles, that would be great.

Il proprietario é molto disponibile e amorevole, ci ha aiutato ad organizzare il nostro safari ed era sveglio alle 5 per salutarci, nonché ci ha atteso al nostro ritorno per la colazione! Il cibo buono e la struttura a due passi dal parco nazionale!

Struttura abbastanza fatiscente. Bisogna tenere conto che e come fosse campeggio, ci sono molti gechi, rane, ragni che entrano con facilità (di notte si sente ogni tipo di rumore di animali che si muovono nella stanza)… inoltre nella stanza non vi è corrente (può essere chiesto al proprietario di accendere il generatore a benzina per un’oretta), c’è solo una lampadina tenue che va a energia solare (ma quando ci siamo svegliati per il safari non andava e abbiamo usato le torce del telefono), inoltre fa molto caldo e si può usare un piccolo ventilatore che fa troppo casino per poter dormire.

All of the staff were so helpful and polite. The facilities were as described and the location was excellent. Thank you for your hospitality. We highly recommend this accommodation to single, group or family travellers..

- If you’re heading to Yala National Park, Rivosen Camp Yala Safari might be up your street. - Located close the entrance of Yala National Park, this accommodation is really off the beaten track. - This is the perfect opportunity to go off-grid and you’ll be well looked after by the very kind local staff. - One example of this was when I didn’t have the right plug to charge my phone and they took it home for a few hours and returned it to me, fully charged. - During my stay, one of the guys brought me to Kirinda and the local beaches. - I was the only tourist and it really felt like a unique adventure. - Manjula and his team prepared local breakfast, lunch and dinner and really did all they could to make me feel welcome. This is one place where you certainly won’t go hungry. - The accommodation at first glance is very rustic and definitely not for everyone but I actually slept like a baby. - They also set up a bonfire and you can sit under the stars at night under the clear skies. - I was up at 4:30am for the Safari, all arranged by Manju. They also prepare a packed lunch for the Safari which was very kind of them. When I got back, breakfast was ready. While their English is limited, all the team made a great effort to chat with me, sharing about their family and lives in Sri Lanka. - This is one experience I know I’ll talk about for years to come and that alone gives this place a 10/10.

very nice and convenient Personal, it's a real adventure to sleep in that hause...very clone to the nature and it feels like an extension of our Safari
