Casa Doner Rooms

I came from the United States for a visit to my wife’s parents home. There were too many people staying in one apartment, so my wife and I decided last minute to book a room. Casa Doner is 5 minutes walk from the train station, 20 minutes walk from the city center and 25 minutes walk from my gym (Stay Fit- Mercur Mall). The room was extremely clean, everything was new, modern. The bathroom was new, the shower had excellent water pressure and as much hot water as one would like. The room had a Daiken air conditioning unit, extremely quiet and efficient. The room also had a mini fridge. Yes, the room is above a fast food restaurant. We had the back room, which is the smallest. You can hear some music up until about 11:30 PM, but it wasn’t very loud. The entrance/stairs to go up to the room is hot from the kitchen below. We just let the air conditioning run constantly and the room was always cold and comfortable, considering the temperature was around 86 degrees Fahrenheit every day. The employees that work at the fast food restaurant gave us the key to our room and the code to the entrance door. For what we paid, the value was great for what we needed, considering we booked the room with only 10 hours notice. Casa Doner is located on a fairly busy road, but we did not hear any street noise as we kept the windows closed and we let the air conditioner run. On a Saturday night there was actually no street noise. At check out, the restaurant was not open yet, so we left the key in the door inside the room and the door unlocked, very easy. We did not use it, but in the hallway outside the door there was a kettle with as much tea, instant coffee and hot chocolate as one might like. We stayed 2 days, our room was not cleaned during our stay. We did not ask about housekeeping cleaning for longer stays. Highly recommend, if there is a need for just a room.

The staff were nice and friendly and the room was clean.

It was very noisy - firstly the AC and the mini fridge in the room were very loud and there was also music most of the night - not sure where it was coming from.
