The street to reach the accommodation is horrible, I am a good driver but if I knew how bad the street was, I would have never booked this place. For the lack of sign, we even took the wrong one at night and had to do it 3 times. Not funny at all. The one on the coast is even worst!! I thought I scratched the rented car each time I had to go in and out. The room we got is not water front (I was disappointed) and has no internet connection! The host is not very communicative.

- Quiet environment at the lake - Seats and hangmats over the water are comfortable to enjoy the sunset. - Friendly host - Free kayaks (only 2 to share with everyone on site)

- Mosquitoes freely entered our room through the few centimeter gap between de backdoor frame and the wall. This could have been so easily avoided with a simple piece of tape. - The WiFi was practically unusable in our room. We had to go outside to have more than 5 seconds stable internet per minute. Would not have been a problem for us if this was correctly indicated. - A simple sign would save a lot of time to find the place, especially when arriving after dark.

It is a beautiful, peaceful place right on the incredible lagoon. The accommodations are clean and modern with a hot shower and private bathroom. Also grateful for the fire pit area and enjoyed sitting by the fire. The dock and sitting area was perfect for the sunrise. Kayaks are provided too! Luigi is very friendly and helpful.

Getting there was a challenge due to inaccurate Google GPS. This is not the fault of the property as directions were sent but not received. Fortunately, Luigi is responsive by phone and guided the taxi in. It is very easy to get to when you don't follow Google GPS.

C’est un endroit exceptionnel avec vue sur la lagune. Le chemin est praticable en petite voiture. Les canoës à disposition. Pas loin de bacalar. La cuisine est bien équipée.

Les voisins peuvent être assez bruyants mais c’est au petit bonheur la chance 😁.

The private access to the lagoon and the peaceful atmosphere

We stayed in the small room and were planning on using the shared kitchen, but it was really not a comfortable place to cook (almost no dishes, no stove, the kettle didnt work half the time and boiling water on the electric plate took hours). Considering the fact that there arent any restaurants around - this was a break diller and really made things hard for us.

Beautiful house. The place has an amazing view of the sunrise. Very green and blue. The host and the cleaner, Eva, were really helpful during our stay. Super responsive to our need. Would definitely come back with my spouse.

La camera era troppo spartana e aveva un microclima troppo umido. La presenza di formiche e blatte in bagno non era poi il massimo…

I loved that it was far from hub of town. It was beautiful. The dock and hammocks we so nice, use of kayaks a major plus and nice chairs and lawn. Bird watching was great. Eva, the host, checked on us daily and brought clean drinking water and was fast about replacing broken hot plate.

I miss read ad and reserved the room behind the main cute building in photos. My fault but ads were also confusing. We had to walk all the way down to the kitchenette to make food, coffee and access fridge. So then we are right outside the main apartment and could access the light for sink from outside so we had to ask the gusts inside to turn on light. One of the hot plates and kettle was broken, no towels or paper goods in kitchenette. No decent sharp knives and coffee maker was small and was missing pot so if you put a coffee cup under it you still had to push release with a knife to get coffee to flow out. I thought we could use main kitchen, that was not allowed. So it was inconvenient to use kitchenette because of location to our “lake view room”. We are a family of four and it was small with no place to hang any wet clothes, no hooks, hangers or a bar in room. Very small for price, but very nice. Also, all water at our accommodation was salt water, so brushing teeth or taking a shower was gross. The nice apartment had clean water and it was only a few dollars more a night and it was huge down there. I was so sad I messed that up but I also didn’t think it was available when I made reservations. Just need clean water and some hooks, hanger or bar and better stuff in kitchen. Also the micro trash was getting bad, really needs a good trash pick up day. Oh and it says there is a grill, but there is no wood and the actual grill is built in metal that was done sloppy, you can’t actually put anything on it or it will fall into fire, needs a better grate at least and you can buy your own charcoal. Drive to town takes about 20 min, road is really really bad and the drive into Luigi’s gets super slippery, we slid into the yard, glad it don’t rain more than once in our week there, the mud built up on our shoes having to walk back and forth from kitchen and dock to our room.

Sehr nettes ambiente, ganz entspannt, wir waren nur 2 Nächte hier. Sehr sehr schöne Natur, gute Einrichtung, traumhafter Ausblick.

Die Anreise. Leider haben wir einen falschen Weg genommen (via google maps) der war mit dem Mietwagen nach ein paar Tagen Regen nicht zu bewältigen. (Riesige Lacken, Gatsch, felsiger Feldweg, riesige Schlaglöcher) Der richtige Feldweg, der uns von der Unterkunft mitgeteilt wurde war etwas besser befestigt, obwohl auch mit unserem Mietwagen SEHR FRAGWÜRDIG! hätte ich die Anreise über diesen (von der Unterkunft angegebenen) Feldweg gekannt, hätte ich dieses Juwel NICHT GEBUCHT! haben wirklich Angst, dass das Auto Kratzer davongetragen hat und die kaution weg ist! Auch der Parkplatz von der Unterkunft war aufgrund der Feuchtigkeit sehr schwer befahrbar mit unserem Mietwagen, das sollte man bedenken.
