The management is so friendly, the host himself came to pick me up as soon as he got to know that I reach the bus station and walking towards the stay. They will suggest you lots of activities and places to have good food as well! I came here for a day and end up staying three !

The location is exceptionally beautiful. The sunset that I saw today was the best I ever saw. Along with that you ll find all you need nearby the stay !

Beach Clan Dorms is a modest tiny hostel. Hostel staff: Anju provided me with pick up service from the train station and arranged backwater boat and canoe trip with guides Anid and Rahul. Backwater boat and canoe trip was very educative and relaxing like a meditation. I learned about daily lifestyle, culture and Keralan cuisine of islanders. Abid, hostel caretaker was helping around the hostel and recommending places to eat. Thank you very much, guys! Location: Hostel is located right on the beach with sea view from the room. You open your room door or window and you are on the beach already. There are several cafes, tea houses and shops around hostel, so you will not be hungry. No noise or crowd around the hostel, which was great and relaxing. My bedroom: My bed was very comfortable. Room was clean. There was no air conditioner, but there was a fan on the wall. It saved me during hot nights. Shower with toilet is located next to the kitchen. It was fine. I didn’t use kitchen as I had my food outside all the time. There is a refrigerator in the entrance hall. Wi-Fi: Wi-Fi was good and worked everywhere in the hostel. In general, everything was good. I enjoyed my stay at the Beach Clan Dorms. I can recommend this hostel if you are looking for some silent place without crowd of tourists around. Sunset on the beach was fantastic. Looking at night sky with stars was a perfect ending of my day.

A little LOVE from hostel management would be much appreciated by travelers: 1) Knife: One or two good and normal sharp knife/knives for peeling and cutting fruits would be much appreciated. Knife in the kitchen was okay to cut butter only. Otherwise, it is useless. 2) Electric kettle: I am a tea monster and electric kettle would be much appreciated, so I could make my own tea and seat at the beach. I am scared to use propane gas stove in the kitchen. 3) Hooks and shelves for razor, shampoo, toothpaste and phone: There is a need in several hooks and shelves in the bathroom. It was impossible to hang clothes or put phone and bag during taking shower after beach or during cleaning teeth. 4) Tiny and stable wall shelves for phones: It would be great to have small shelf near each plug/outlet for comfortable charging of phones or putting phones during night times. 5) Lockers: It would be great to have 4 lockers in the room for 4 people and 2 lockers in the room for two people. Simple lockers could be made of metal nets like in my hostel in Goa. It was very comfortable to lock baggage with documents, money and electronic items and go for sightseeing or beach without any worries. 6) Bed curtains for privacy: It would be great to have bed curtains for privacy for each bed. I will add picture of my bed from Goa hostel as an example.

The place was exactly on beach with a beautiful sunset every evening. Place was clean. Owner very polite and humble. Will definitely recommend this place.

I like the location of the Hostel (Beach facing ). Good stay for the Budget and people are Friendly.

it was affordable price to stay here. staff were very kind, they can pick you up from and to the railway station or bus stop.

Newly started place close to the beach. Location is good for some restaurants and a private (!) beach area, very nice. The owner is super friendly, met us at the train station and helped us get into a rickshaw out to the hostel. He will also arrange trips from the hostel if needed and can surely give tips on things to do in the area. The rooms are simple but clean and the view is nice from the bedrooms. Breakfast was good and there is free drinking water supply. Finally, very good value for money, it feels more like a homestay than a hostel which for me is a good feeling.

You have to walk through the common kitchen area to get to the bathroom, it works but it doesnt really show on the pictures, so just be aware. Also missing a indoor/under roof common area if its raining, not a huge problem, but it is newly started so things are on their way. In the near future this place will be super.
