The Royal Island

The property is absolutely new, my room was super clean. It has a terrace with vent to sit outside. The bad is relatively big. And the hosts are a young Indian very polite couple!

The place is around 2 1/2 hours from Trivandrum airport, however once at the place its a comfortable and relaxed place. The owner, Midhun Chandran was too good, he gave us personal attention and the food served was really good. We enjoyed the local food, starting with breakfast, lunch, evening tea / snacks and dinner. The tender coconuts in the morning was great. Midhun was also helpful with our boating trip in the back waters (2 hour sail) and also arranged for our drop to Mahindra Resorts via the boat which cuts the distance by more than half had we travelled by road.

I initially booked another place with good ratings but it was cancelled a week before my travel. I randomly booked this place without much expectation. But this place turned out to be way better than all expectations. There are only 4 rooms but the property is beautiful, clean, cozy and serene. The owner of the property is very very nice and he even showed us beautiful picturesque places around in Munroe Island. He himself maintains the property and his wife is an amazing cook. The dinner and breakfast was tasty. The rooms are super spacious and clean. Infront of the rooms there are small benches to sit and enjoy the calming winds in the evening. I will definately visit again.

I loved everything about this place. No complains.

Location is amazing. Facilities & assistance from Owner was great. Many facilities available but entire set up is yet to come up as a whole. Great for a homestay kind of warmth & services with Hotel like rooms.

TV not yet placed. Mosquitoes in area. Slightly overpriced.

It's a brand new resort and quite clean. Some facilities like TV and a fan in the verandah are in the pipeline we are told. We all liked the niche dining area outside each room in the verandah. Good idea.

The road leading to the resort is in bad shape, which is a common problem in Kerala. Hope this gets rectified.

Good breakfast, location is also good.

The road to reach has to improve, the hotel is just initiated. There is much to improve, yet complete the work
