"Lovely place"

8.0

The location was lovely and very peaceful

As other reviews have mentioned there are windows with no blinds in the bedroom. As parents of a toddler...we all need sleep so we took some suction holders for the windows and used some blankets to cover the light - without them we would have woken very very early because of the sunshine. The ceilings were low and my husband kept bumping his head!

"Great location.friendly hosts could do with curtains in bedroom"

8.0

Location was great

Dirty dish in cupboard. Needed to clean before use. The bedroom didn’t have any curtains on the large sky windows meaning small children woke with the dawn in summer!

"Good but not suitable for a family - more for couples"

7.0

We loved the cleanliness of the property and the way it was presented when we arrived. We had all the essentials which was perfect. Jensen (the owner) was responsive and great at answering questions quickly.

There was no ‘garden view’ and there was no access to it. The garden looked like and that had been neglected - although we liked to see the Pony in the morning roaming around from the window. I would say that this is more of a couples stay than that for a family. We stayed there as we were going to peppa pig world, but the accommodation wasn’t suitable for our twin toddlers.

"Great place, great price. Lovely and clean."

Beautiful, quiet, peaceful, clean.

Easy to hit head on ceiling lol. Bathroom was small, especially the sink! But the shower was big and nice.

"Quiet, cosy, well presented cottage ideal for a couple."

9.0

Very well equipped property. Very clean throughout. Ground floor = Modern Kitchen with tea/coffee etc. Toilet & sink with shower & toiletries. First floor = Cosy lounge area with blankets/cushions chairs/sofa coffee table & tv. Large bedroom with 2 double beds, clothes rails & plenty of space for cases. The host gave us a choice of cot or toddler bed for the little one which was great. Stairgates are also provided if you want to put them up. The farm is accessed by a locked gate as it is in the new forest with free roaming horses & cows just down the road - this makes it a very safe place to stay and is easy to unpack & re-pack the car at leisure.

The bedroom has attractive high level apex windows at either gable end, but these do not have any curtains or blinds and as we were staying in July we were conscious the light would come streaming through in the early hours........ Not ideal with a toddler! The ceiling in the lounge is quite low due the sloping roof above.

"Disappointing and overpriced - not recommended for more than one night stop over."

3.0

The location, in terms of where it's situated in the New Forest (i.e., close to Lyndhurst, good pubs, supermarket etc), was good.

The property is overpriced for what it is and the description is misleading. There is no private garden that guests can enter or garden/grounds of any description for that matter. The view out the back of the property is dire (besides the Shetland pony), and the view from the front is a car park with a dilapidated caravan(s) and quite a few cars. The kitchen is inadequate (no glasses besides wine glasses), and the washing machine was out of order with no prior warning. Besides, not being able to stand upright when you walk through upstairs doorways or stand in the 'living room', the two apex glass panels on either side of the bedroom roof pitch ensure you wake up when it's light. The larger of the double beds creaks with every movement, meaning one of us (adults!) had to try and sleep in the cot one night, with us having to move the mattress onto the floor for the second night just to get some sleep. The property is hard to find, so GPS coordinates would be handy, and I don't recommend this space for more than two people - if you're a single traveler or couple who usually like fairly rustic/makeshift camping, then you'll probably like Forest View Farm.

"Good"

6.0

The accommodation was ok. An extension/annex of a farmhouse in the Lyndhurst area of the New Forest. The amenities were good.

The accommodation was deceptively smaller than reflected in the photos. It would suit a couple I think rather than a family. The location although very beautiful was very remote.
