The Oldman House

What an amazing haven in the middle of hectic Osh! It was truly wonderful staying here after our long trek before heading to the airport. Richard was so helpful, assisting us with lost luggage while we were without service in the trek. Hotel was beautiful and clean. Cannot recommend this place enough.

The Oldmanhouse felt like home from the first step we took inside. We were greeted warmly by the owners and generally, our wishes were read from our minds before we were able to speak them out. We booked the deluxe king suite, which was perfect to recharge after a trek - there was an own washing machine, living/bedroom seperations, an own microwave, an adjustable TV, and an exceptional, homemade breakfast, which exceeded our expectations by a lot. If you‘re visiting Osh, it‘s a no brainer to book a night in this guesthouse. The cats wandering around the house are cute and you will feel comfortable inside an own oasis in the middle of town. We will surely be back. Thank you, Richard and Melissa!

Richard and Melissa are amazing hosts, friendy and helpful. The house, common areas and our suite were beautiful, super comfortable, clean, really well equipped, and gorgeously decorated. Lots of choice at breakfast, all delicious. Our family of 4 thoroughly enjoyed our stay...so relaxing! The location was perfect. Couldn't recommend this place more if you are visiting Osh!

If there’s one place you should stay in Osh – it absolutely has to be Old Man House. From the moment you arrive, you’ll feel the love and care that’s gone into every detail of this beautiful property. It’s incredibly peaceful – a true sanctuary tucked away in the city. The décor is charming, thoughtful, and full of character, creating a warm, homely atmosphere that’s hard to leave. What truly sets Old Man House apart are the hosts, Richard and Melissa. They are, without a doubt, the most perfect hosts you could ever ask for – genuinely kind, incredibly helpful, and always going the extra mile. They helped me fix my backpack and even accompanied me to the hospital when I needed it. Their care goes far beyond hospitality – it’s heartfelt. Even the little things are done with so much attention – my laundry came back smelling like flowers! And don’t even get me started on the breakfast: it’s out of this world. Honestly, you won’t find this kind of quality and flavor even in five-star hotels. Staying here was a truly lovely experience. Highly, highly recommended.

Gorgeous guesthouse, which feels like home. Very comfortable rooms. Super-clean. Great breakfast spread. Lots of lovely common spaces where you can relax. A great place to relax after completing the Pamir Highway.

There was nothing that I didn't like. However, I did spend a night in the deluxe room before spending two nights in the standard room, and I much preferred the standard room. It's not as fancy and big but has natural light, and you can open the window to get some air in. It's a bit quieter due to being upstairs and not next to the kitchen, too.

Wonderfully located the Oldman House is one of a kind- such an oasis of calm, care and comfort. The breakfast was lavish and both Richard and Melissa exuded hospitality and warmth. Our room (suite) was enormous and very well designed. Everything was well thought out. The suite even included a washing machine which was SO welcome after our trip to the Pamirs. Highly recommended, we only wished we had stayed a third night.
