Chobe River Camp

Here is the updated review: "We spent two nights at Chobe River Camp in a cottage, the first one right next to the swimming pool. The house was fantastic with a view of the river. The amenities were wonderful and everything was well-maintained and clean. The dinner buffet cost 395 Namibian dollars. We did the sunset boat cruise twice because it was so incredibly beautiful and the guide provided good information. The cruise was even more special with nice snacks and drinks included - one day we enjoyed a G&T and the other day we opted for white wine. The cruise cost 505 Namibian dollars per person. The staff at the restaurant and reception could be a bit friendlier and more emotional. Otherwise, this accommodation is an absolute dream and we would love to come back anytime."

Rooms were very nice

Staff were rude and unhelpful. Issue with electricity at the property completely ruined our stay (no aircon, lights, limited food options, etc.), we had to leave early. There was no communication or alternative plan made. Absolutely no effort made on New Years Eve - we ate in the dark.

Lovely chalets. Nice pool. Great views. Fabulous game drive. Reasonably good food.

No boat rrips but wasn't lodges fault due to low level of river. Food was a little more expensive than I would have expected.

Beautiful location, and the refurbished rooms are fantastic! Great river views, beautifully decorated and very comfortable. Lounge and pool areas are nice. Staff is very friendly and dinner really good. In the middle of nature with Great bird and animal views. Great place to stay and good value for money..beautiful!

The only downside is that to visit the Chobe National Park, you will have to cross the border which is a hassle.

The camp has recently been refurbished and upgraded. Loved it. Had elephants strolling right in front of our hut. Food was great, loved the restaurant, camp - all of it.

No hanging space for clothes. Not a problem though.

The camp just got renovated- they are still working but no effects on our stay. The new tents are so nice and modern. You see giraffes, elephants, zebras, crocodiles, etc.(and lots of kettle) from your tent. AC working very well. Pool area and service nice, dinner fantastic.

All issues were solved quickly.

Fantastic location - views. Great game drive in the late afternoon - lots of animals including a leopard! We were only here for 1 night but wished it was for longer.
