Ubud Royal Villa

The entry level looked nice.

The description in Booking promised direct access to the bathroom/toilet from the bedroom. In fact, it's necessary to go the floor that is also used by other guests that have their room on the same floor. Hence, the bathroom is exclusively useable but not really private because you cannot reach it without leaving your privacy. (Queensroom) There is a smell of cat pee in the bathroom. Kitchen and fridge are one level below and shared but not part of the rooms. The room is much smaller than the advertised 35 square meters. There is no balcony though it is advertised on Booking. The host claimed that all those things were lies when I complained to the customer service. The road from the property to the city had massive traffic and the exhaust was terrible; almost impossible to breathe. It takes about 20 minutes to walk through this hell to the centre. The host played nice but didn't admit any of those point when I complained to the customer service. We left after 2 nights and were refused the refund for more than 14 nights.

We were welcomed by Michel and Raya like family. We had wonderful conversations about Bali, the culture, traditions and the history of the house itself. We were very comfortable using the kitchen and relax around the property. The room itself is spacious with a private bathroom. The bed is very comfortable. The property has a great location. We were charmed by the lovely cat around the house 😍 We highly recommend it.

There was dogs around barking at night so make sure to bring some earplugs, but that’s out of their control.

Ubud is a good place but this property is NOT one of them

The property itself and the host Filthy conditions of the bed, toilet, and room in general No soundproofing at all (even your whispers will be heard by everyone) No toiletries provided (no soap, bath gel, shampoo, etc) We checked in and out the same night we arrived due to filthy conditions, yet no refund was provided.

We chose this place because it has spacious rooms and a good working place. I would definitely recommend it to digital nomads, as there is a working table and a comfortable office chair (which are hard to find at the hotels). The location is pretty close to the central area (15-20 minutes walk). There are cafes, convenient stores and a supermarket in walking distance. There is also a shared kitchen and living room, as well as a nice yard.

Had a great time, extremely nice people would recommend this place. the location is great close to everything like monkey forest didn't know what to expect frist time getting a shared villa and wasn't disappointed thanks for having me :)

My girlfriend and I stayed at this location for about three weeks. We highly recommend it! The hosts, Michel and Raya, are very friendly people and my partner and I enjoyed getting to know them. Also the helper, Dayuh, was very friendly and helpful. The location is fantastic since you can take a scooter to the center or go the opposite direction to waterfalls, rice terraces, and other locations. The room is spacious, the bed was comfortable and the room has two desks for working. We had own private bathroom outside the room and whenever we wanted to cook we used the shared kitchen downstairs. Also, the WiFi is good for working and doing Zoom calls.

The place is very clean, big nice rooms. Notice that it is someones home, staff was very friendly and the owner too. He offered us help if needed and even drove me around ubud to show around. We extended our stay with 4 nights so i would definitely recommend this place.

The house is really beautiful and well maintained. Everything is clean and the owners make it vibrate high. Raya and Michell are awesome hosts. Very attentive and kind. Always making sure everything is all right. The room is very spacious and comfortable and very quiet. Perfect for a good rest. Pool is really nice and clean. The house is about 2 km from city center. Better if you drive a scooter. Traffic is crazy though. Walking it'll take you like 20 minutes.
