* Common areas are cluttered and untidy, e.g., frequent overflowing rubbish bins and poor hygiene throughout the property. * Serious safety issue: front door locked at night with no way to open it from inside without staff assistance. Major concern in case of fire: Primary emergency exit could trap guests in case of fire. * Staff are rarely present at reception, always need to text or call. * Slow and unreliable Wi-Fi. * Bathrooms poorly maintained, e.g., toilet paper frequently unavailable. * Only 2 of 5 shower/toilet units sometimes worked, causing queues * Staff difficult to find when supplies were needed. * Hot water was inconsistent or unavailable.

No hot water WIFI didn't work and we were not provided one that worked even when we asked for the other passwords Bed sheets were smaller than the mattress so the smallest movement implied we were sleeping directly on the mattress
GBLocation is everything for this hostel. It is extremely convenient, especially if you're looking to do day hikes from Medeu, the bus stop is right outside. There is a huge supermarket across the road too, and all the city attractions are walkable. Price is very fair, and the beds were comfy with curtains. The shower and toilet facilities were especially good too.
There was a bit of a language barrier, but no fault of the hostel. Just be aware if it's a deal breaker for you, but it is no problem really.
