Tropical Garden by TANIS

Nice bright room. Lovely staff. Right on the beach. The superior rooms and the bungalows were very pleasant. I was upgraded to a better room as my first room on arrival did not have water in the shower. If you book here. ask for the front rooms not the ones up the back of the property.

The water pressure in the showers is not good - but it's an island so you can't expect everything to be perfect. The wifi was patchy. The breakfast choice was very limited. Terrible coffee!

Lots of privacy, 3 pools, lovely grounds and friendly staff and on the beach.

I wasn’t aware of the TANIS ferry that dropped you off and picked you up right in front of the hotel. I was sold a ticket on D’Star which meant a bone-jarring 30 min ride from another beach. Not the hotels fault.

The staff and specially Sofia was always very friendly and helpful, even when she was off duty she would still do everything she could to answer your needs 🤩 The location is good although you do need transport to get to the area where the restaurants are, but Sofia arranged this for us every evening, lots of restaurants have free pickup and drop off. On the other hand if you travel there via Tanis fast boat, you don’t need a transfer because the pier is in front of the hotel.

The rooms however were disappointing as they were not very clean and some with other problems… we had to change rooms twice as there were many issues with the 2 rooms we stayed in before.

Breakfast was good and sufficient, location excellent, staff very friendly, management responsive, excellent value.

Did have trouble finding place, followed google maps, big mistake, when you get off the ferry at Mushroom beach, just walk along beach 50m to Tanis ferry office, you have arrived. Confusion with name, no one seems to know Tropical Gardens, they know it as just Tanis.

The staff were amazing!! Sofia at reception was an absolute angel, she was so helpful and caring. She organised for our bags to be watched while we went out for the day waiting for check-in to open, then she helped us organise tickets for our ferry to the Gili islands and then she went above and beyond when we left an item in our room, organised for it to be sent to our next stop so we could pick it up! Thank you so much Sofia!! You are amazing. The accomodation is beautiful, gorgeous views, nice location!! However, the staffing team really makes Tanis feel like a second home! :)

Very close to the beach and nice staff. We got a free beer each. Location was spot on.

The toilet itself was in a very bad shape and not enough water coming out of the shower. Also many cracks in the bathroom here and there. Some maintenance would do a lot to the bathroom.

Loved the room, was upgraded to bungalow, breakfast on the beach, lovely staff only too happy to make you comfortable. Can arrange massages, boat and tours at reception.

The first room I booked was in front of pool, which was right up the back, was mouldy, aircon didn’t work, water in shower was terrible. Don’t book it! Book the bungalow!
