Such a charming, peaceful, beautiful space to call home for a few days. Apart from the fact you get to stay in a windmill - which is something you can’t say every day - you also get the additional facilities and living space in the cabin beside it offering you everything you need and more. Outside, every direction you look there are personal touches to add to the authentic feel reminding you of where you are. A short pathway down to the well maintained, generous sized pool and you are greeted with INCREDIBLE VIEWS. And a perfect place to catch the sun all day long before it sets behind the mountains. I’ll also add that stunning views are available at various parts of the property with well positioned benches and hammocks to take it all in. There is practically no light pollution which makes the stars pop too which is a perfect addition when outside firing up the BBQ. 10/10.

Nothing to dislike.

Gorgeous view, wonderful pool. Loved the mill- so cute. Everything you need, hosts were attentive and helpful. Lovely area, lots of places to visit. Peaceful location. Perfect holiday, even with the rain in the first week. Epic thunderstorm that knocked out the power for 5 minutes! Thank you Tony and Elaine, sorry it took so long for us to get around to writing this review!

Can't thing of a thing we didn't like apart from the hire car company at Lisbon airport. Gold Car may be cheap, but there's a reason for that. Nothing to do with this holiday rental, I must add. Our mistake.

The windmill is amazing and the views are beautiful. It is so much bigger in person and the pool area is large and really private. Layton and his family were super helpful throughout the week, we will definitely be visiting again soon! We had a car for the week so we managed to see some of the surrounding towns too.
