"Great location next to train station but has not had a lot of investment in upkeep of rooms."

Location Staff well presented

The WiFi. I cannot express this as much as I can right now. There is absolutely NO excuse for no WiFi or poor internet connection in 2024. This is not a questionable thing - this is not 2002.

Adequate but not exceptional breakfast

Small carpark. Ended up in the reserve carpark 200m away on the second night. May be difficult in the winter. Virtually no restaurants nearby at night.

"Good stop for exploring the Shiretoko Nature Park"

Reasonable size room, complete with amenities. There is a convenience store right across the hotel and there are also good restaurants nearby. Location allows for an easy drive along the coast up to Shiretoko waterfalls and Nature Park.

The mattress could be more comfortable.
