Cozy Tiny House Hideaway

It is situated in the front yard of another home, which is ok, but there is a steep incline from the road to the hut and it was really slippery and wet, making it difficult to unpack the car. The wooden deck steps were slippery too. The bedrooms on the mezzanines were the main problem. One had steps which were flimsy, so that you could see through to the kitchen below in the gaps in the joinery, which seemed unfinished and home built. The second bedroom was so tight you had to crawl to get in, and move around and had a steep ladder for access. There were no rails on either stairway. It was very unsafe and completely unsuitable for anyone with any mobility issues. They need to warn people of this. There was no light in the main living area so you couldn’t read. This added to the risk of getting up and down the stairs. If you needed to access the bathroom during the night from the second bedroom I do not know how this would be possible. It was unsafe. There were no power points in the bathroom, nowhere to put clothes or belongings other than a small cupboard where clothes could barely hang. It was pretty awful and we left before our second night and had to find another place to stay.

I liked everything about the whole tiny home, it was cute convenient and perfect for our little family

Although the tiny home is attached to the main property, it was very private.

The property is a good set up for a short stay, with a great location.

The facilities are sparse. There was minimal cooling equipment, the WiFi was non existent and never was able to achieve speeds of above 10mbps - so unable to stream work or even browse properly. This was reported and nothing done. Gas bottles were empty on arrival, the solution was for me to sort out the BBQ bottle - which was also empty. Customer service via Toddle was not great - comms predominantly via message despite request for calls. The property was also a little tired, window latches broken and not suitable to open. With a little TLC and enhanced WiFi this could be a 10/10 property.

The location was great centred in between the buzz of Mt Maunganui and the beach but tucked away in a quiet and peaceful residential area. The house had everything we needed for our stay, it was modern and clean, and there was a lovely outdoor space with seating and a BBQ. Parking was also super easy with street parking out front.

We stayed for 5 nights and there wasn't much storage space for clothes. We were coming to visit friends who live in the area and we didn't realise when we booked that we weren't allowed to have any visitors at any point during our stay.

The patio/deck and fans were very handy for and indoor-outdoor flow and keeping cool.

Great place , comfortable and convenient.

Cool space, well thought out design and layout, washing machine was handy and beds comfortable. Little walk into main town wasn’t a hassle for us, short walk across the beach.

- Some of the windows upstairs had broken locking clips on fly screens, with no A/C in the house it meant we couldn’t keep windows open up top as the screens (and hence curtain rails) rattled all night - meant up top (where beds are) got a bit stuffy and hot. - Had ground coffee but no plunger. - Asked for 10.15am checkout (10am checkout in conditions) as it was raining and transport was picking us up then and it was declined. - Paying $250 security deposit to external party / website before we could gain access was a bit odd.
