Cosy apartment with free parking

Everything great, upon our late arrival we got even chance to see Nothern lighst right above our heads. Comfy beds good comfort, well equipped kitchen. Host was great and helpufl. Easy instruction to find the keys. Appartment is very close to city center especially if you want to see beautiful wooden Bryggen Wharf , its just cca 5 min by car from the place.

The host was super friendly. Absolutely loved my stay there. Perfect location when visiting Bergen.

The apartment was close to public transit if needed, however we had a car and parking was an issue. Unit was clean. Host gave clear photos of where to park and find keys.

We had a BIG unpleasant surprise. Communication from the host leading up to check in was not great, as I had to message him the day before our arrival to ask how to get keys. He then sent me very good photos about location of the keys and where to park. He said it would be better for him if we checked in after 5:00, even though scheduled check in was at 3:00. I told him we would let ourselves in at 3:00. When we arrived for check in at 3:00 pm, our designated parking spot was occupied by the owner. He soon appeared and asked me if I had gotten his message. (I later found the message had been sent about 15 minutes before our arrival.) He informed me that there would be NO WATER in the apartment in the morning so he was giving us buckets to flush the toilet, and the CAR WOULD HAVE TO LEAVE THE PROPERTY BEFORE 8:00 am or be blocked in for the day due to the road being closed for construction. Our other option was to try to find on street parking in this VERY crowded area somewhere else down the hill and carry all our luggage through the construction zone. That was not possible as I have mobility issues, and that is why I picked this accommodation that had parking for our rental car. He claimed that he was only informed of this problem that day. Because we found out so late, we had no time to book a different place. Therefore we were forced to shower that night, and leave the property by 7:30 am. To add insult to injury, he had a book of house rules that said we were supposed to place the linens & towels in front of the washer, (OK), and VACUUM THE FLOORS (which I found unreasonable). That did not happen as we were very rushed to leave in the morning. Not exactly a pleasant stay for us. If you have a rental car, be aware that this area has VERY narrow streets and is difficult to find.

It comes with a private parking space. Although the house is not new, it is clean, and the spaces are separate. The supermarket is within a 5-minute walk.

Located in a residential area, the alleys are narrow, making it difficult for two cars to pass each other. The soundproofing is not very good.

The apartment was clean. Nothing fancy but sufficient for our stay. Host was responsive to my inquiries. Great value!
