De kamer waar we verbleven

Der Empfang war herzlich und hat gut geklappt. Die Nähe zum Zentrum ist perfekt mit dem Fahrrad ( hauptsächlich Radwege, die auch nachts beleuchtet sind)

Oberflächlich sauber, absolutes NoGo keine Türe im Bad, nur ein Vorhang!!! Der Wasserhahn in der Küche ist kurz vorm durchbrechen.

Gemütliches , kleines Appartement. Nettes Empfang und hilfsbereit. Etwas weit von Zentrum von Maastricht entfernt ( Konzert), die Strecke ist aber gut zu fahren.

Kein Bäcker oder Lebensmittelladen in der nahen Umgebung

Der "Vermieter" der gleichzeitig das grand cafe de kantjel nur ein paar Häuser weiter betreibt ist ein sehr sehr netter und lockerer Mann. Das Café, von außen unscheinbar ist jedoch im Inneren total schön und gemütlich. Wir haben "sehr gut" gegessen (Der Chef kocht selbst). Einchecken per SMS kurz vor Ankunft war total easy. Der Vermieter kam sofort vorbei und hat uns alles gezeigt und erklärt. Die 10 Euro Übernachtungssteuer die fällig waren wollte er gar nicht gleich haben. Legt das Geld bei Abreise einfach auf den Küchentisch meinte er. Unsere E-bikes durften wir im Hausgang abstellen. Und an der Straße (die ruhig und wenig befahren ist) findet man immer einen kostenlosen Parkplatz.

2 für uns absolute No Go's sind zum einen: Fenster die nicht geöffnet werden können (wir waren bei 36 Grad Außentemperatur da) und die Klimaanlage hat nicht wirklich gekühlt (31 Grad im Zimmer). Der zweite Punkt ist das Bad mit WC. Dieses verfügt zwar über ein kleines Fenster zum kippen, jedoch über KEINE TÜR sondern ist lediglich mit einem Duschvorhang zum zuziehen ausgestattet. Die "Gerüche" beim Toilettengang ziehen ungehindert in den Schlaf/Essbereich was wirklich eklig ist. Was wir auch nicht wussten, direkt angrenzend zum Haus ist eine Schule. Der Pausenhof liegt direkt am Badezimmerfenster und hat einen enormen Lärmpegel. Auch bis in den Abend hinein (ca. 21 Uhr) wird er von den Jugendlichen genutzt. Ist ziemlich laut.

There was free parking outside that was incredibly easy to use! Very quiet area during the day and night so optimal for sleep, this is doubled by the comfortable beds! Wifi is included and it was very good.

Breakfast was NOT included, even though "bed and breakfast" is in the name. We found the tinniest bit of blood on the bathroom door, which is not alarming but a little gross. There is a huge lamp that hovers over the small dining table and chair sized couch, which was incredibly dusty to the point that we could see it just by walking into the room. The coffee machine made strangely weak coffee, along with expired sweetener. We never met our host, only were on call with her, which some guests may like but it's not for us. We were happy to pay the given price thinking breakfast was involved (as many reviews from prior guests said they received it) but without it it seems subpar. It is close enough to the center only if you have a car, however the parking in Maastricht that we found was very expensive. There are also quite a lot of photos of both rooms on the info page but the upstairs was sealed off (the room with stained glass, couches and more space) so I'm assuming that room is not for booking at this time. Overall a bit of a strange experience. Headsup that we did not complain directly (besides the breakfast), so things may have been resolved but it was a bit awkward to call after small inconveniences for a one weekend stay. If we would have stayed longer we would have pushed more.

The rooms were spacious and the central heating was left on day and night. A huge bonus. Also we were allowed to enter the property before the check in time. Which was a lovely gesture. The host was very helpful and lived near by. This property contained every thing you would need for a short stay.

The location of the property on the booking.com website is no where near to where the property actually is. It’s the other side of the river, and too far for us to walk into the city. Spent a lot of money on cabs in the evenings. I chose this property for its closeness to Maastrict north train station only to find it was no where near. A big disappointment and very misleading and not correct.
