"A great stay in the splendid Northumbrian countryside"

I received the warmest of welcomes at Saughy Rigg farm, which included tea and cake. The room was very quiet, and the bed was super comfortable. Food was outstanding at both dinner and breakfast. The farm is off the beaten track, but the situation was eased by the offer of a lift back to Hadrian's Wall. Thanks to Sian and her family for a memorable stay.

"Exceptional"

Nice full English breakfast. I was doing a working vacation; it was great being able to spend the morning working and looking out at the crags and then hiking the crags in the afternoon. Excellent location to be based for hiking both east and west, and a 40-minute walk south down to Twice Brewed for supper. Would stay again.
