La casa es preciosa. El equipamiento de la casa súper completo. Muy cerca de Seixal y Porto Moniz pero sin agobios de turistas. Es una zona muy tranquila.

The house is perfectly located in the north of the island. It’s easy to reach by car, though public transport access is nearly impossible. The driveway to the parking area in front of the house may seem steep, but it posed no issues. The house’s interior fully matches the photos. It has three bedrooms (two with double beds and one with two single beds) and a living room. The beds are comfortable, and the authentic old wooden furniture adds charm without causing any inconvenience. The house was well-cleaned, with fresh bed linens and towels provided. WiFi and a TV are available. The kitchen is fully equipped with a wide variety of cookware. We didn’t use the grill area but spent several wonderful evenings with a bottle of wine at the table outside the entrance, watching the sun set behind the mountains. The area around the house is quiet and peaceful in the evenings, though ambulances with flashing lights (but no sirens) occasionally pass by at night. There’s no air conditioning, but this wasn’t an issue as the temperature inside the house in August was comfortable (just remember to close the shutters during the day to reduce heat from direct sunlight). A medical center is located right across from the house. A restaurant and bar are nearby (we didn’t visit them). A large Continente supermarket with a wide range of goods is just a 5-minute drive away. The region’s nature is stunning, and the house is strategically located for exploring the northern part of the island. Just a 10-minute drive away is the Levada PR16 Levada Fajã do Rodrigues. We were very satisfied with our stay in this house. It offers excellent value for money, especially for a large group.

There’s no washing machine in the house (though a paid self-service laundry is available at the nearby Continente supermarket). Some elements of the house were not in the best condition: in the shower, only the large fixed overhead showerhead worked, as the switch to the smaller handheld shower was broken; on the kitchen, the electric kettle’s switch was faulty, so it didn’t turn off automatically and had to be unplugged. The owner promised to fix these issues. The WiFi router is poorly positioned, with the signal barely reaching the kitchen and the farthest room—it would be better to move the router closer to the center of the house.

The house is very nice and has all the equipment you need for an enjoyable stay. The best part was the grill area, as it allows you to enjoy the indoor activities if it is raining. The view to the mountains is perfect and so relaxing. There is also a possibility to park the car in the house yard which is great. The hosts were also available for any questions.
