"Not going back again. Standards are nowhere near to that of Tamara Kodai"

There are just three buggies for 56 rooms. Not a five star resort by any means. 1. There are just three buggies that can take two guests at time and 56 rooms in total. Do the ‘how long do I have to wait?’ math when you want to go to the restaurant or spa from room. 30-40 mins. 2. Bad check in experience. Did not even get a glass of water let alone tea/coffee/juice. Again, they call themselves a five star property 3. Had called the property repeatedly at least from a week before arrival to book spa slot was told it can be done after check in every time, even on the day of arrival. When we called after we got our room, surprise! All slots were booked. So much so for managing and communicating. 4. Told the staff they need to stay at Taj Madikeri for a day to understand what hospitality is. After all the tariffs are similar and both are five star properties. 5. The Tamara Coorg was an unpleasant experience at best. Tamara Kodai was a superb experience. Wonder where the brand got lost. 6. When informed the front office about these issues, we were told the Manager, Mr Sakrhitharan R, would call back and address the issue. Surprise again! Not only did he not call but when I called him twice, went unanswered.

Beautiful location, serene and very naturalistic. The staff at the resort were very polite, in particular Sunitha.

No complaints at all.

It is a beautiful property set in nature, with friendly staff, lovely local food, and a great spot for a serene holiday

An eye for detail would be good ... a few things could be better in the rooms

everything at the tamara was great, in specific Pradeep, Dinesh and Narul were absolutely incredible and brought such amazing energy every day

the water supplied at the property is filtered RO water, as a westerner who isn't used to RO water it was tough to order water so try to bring as much as you can if you don't like Ro water
