Laura is an excellent host. She is kind, quick to respond and has made sure her place has every comfort you can think of. The apartment was extremely clean. The location is great. Very walkable to all sites. Free street parking was easy to find. Secure building. Hot water. Great water pressure. A/C if you need it but I enjoyed having both sets of doors open for a cross breeze. I would definitely stay here again.

What really stood out was the hospitality of Laura. Laura was warm, attentive, and always available to provide recommendations about where to eat, what to see, and how to get around. I truly felt welcomed and well taken care of throughout my stay.

There was plenty of space in the apartment. It had a full kitchen with eating area and a separate sitting area from the bedroom. The bathroom was very adequate for two people. The host went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable. It was a short walk to the center of town and the markets.

The location of the property was near an area that is a little rough. There was construction going on in the complex, although it never bothered us during the night.

Don Home is ideally located — close to the train/bus stations and within comfortable walking distance to the historic centre, restaurants, and shops. The room was spacious, bright, clean, and beautifully blended traditional Sicilian charm (like arches) with modern amenities, including well-equipped facilities, tableware, plants, and even local sweets! Laura, the host, was exceptionally kind and helpful. She warmly welcomed my parents (in their 60s) at the bus station, guided them around the city centre, and shared many great tips for exploring Catania and Taormina. Her help made their trip smooth and memorable. Though Catania is very far from China, Laura’s friendliness made them feel at home. By the end of their three-day stay, they’d become friends! She even personally drove my parents to the train station (actually quite close to the apartment), helped them with their luggages and saw them off — a very touching gesture. This stay was surely one of their most beautiful memories in Italy. We’d choose Don Home and Laura again without hesitation!

Don Home was a great place to stay in Catania in close proximity to the railway station and within easy walking distance of the attractions of Catania. The apartment has modern facilities , well decorated in a contemporary way and very comfortable. Laura our host was terrific, providing lots of advice about local restaurants, bars, attractions. She was easily contactable on WhatsApp and always helpful.

Property was well located to all sites in Catania, as well as local cafes and restaurants.

Laura (host) was absolutely fabulous! Don Home was set in a great location, about 10 minute walk to the city centre. The room was huge and had all the facilities including a partitioned bedroom, kitchen, laundry, dining area and sofa for relaxing. She greeted us with some Sicilian sweets and the room was well equipped for all your needs. I wish I could stay longer. It was comfortable, quiet and easy to get around. She also gave excellent food recommendations which made exploring catania a lot easier. I would love to stay again if I come back to catania. Grazie Laura! <3

Dòn Home was a great base to explore Catania. Laura met us when we arrived, and gave us so many local recommendations we didn’t have a chance to try them all! The apartment is just like the photos, and Laura told us that the arches are the traditional layout for the flats in the city. it was very unique, and surprisingly bright and airy for having one window! The apartment had everything we needed: coffee machine; washer and a clothes horse; air conditioning; slippers; anything you could think of was there including water and starter supplies in the fridge. Laura is a lovely host, and went out of her way to make our stay in Catania a memorable and welcoming experience 😊

The area can seem a little intimidating at first, but we quickly got used to it once we had found our bearings. We like to explore cities on foot, and Laura gave us the best routes to and from the apartment.
