The Claire Hotel

The location was great. I like supporting smaller establishments. The unit was very clean and cool. Good water pressure & very hot which I like. Bed was comfortable. The AC kept the room very cool and we love that. It was a very basic room but it met our needs for a quick one night stay to attend a nearby wedding. The communication with the venue was excellent and easy. I would probably return to stay again - the outdoor play area is probably really great for families and the exterior is pretty charming.

We are pillow people, so a couple of extra pillows would have been lovely, especially since there was no headboard. Also, the lamp on the bedside table was not usable because the light switch controlled the plugs in the room, so if you wanted to turn on the lamp, the overhead lights also came on. Too bright for the evening - the plug for the lamp should not be tied into the overhead lights. A folding luggage rack would have been great, so I didn't have to have my suitcase on the floor. Liquid coffee creamers would have made our day. The sink faucet in the coffee bar area was leaking. I didn't dislike where we stayed, but it didn't wow. I know it is older, but some small things like those I mentioned can make it more luxurious. The bathroom products provided were of low quality - those could be improved. Overall, not bad. Price & location worked for us, and we overlooked these small things, but still, they are worth mentioning as feedback.
