The Barn

Lovely quiet self contained accommodation with lots of thoughtful attention to detail. Lisa had thought of everything to ensure a comfortable stay. It was great to have things in for breakfast. Would highly recommend.

The Barn is a great place to stay. The host was friendly and helpful and the accommodation was very clean and very well maintained. Beds are comfy and it was really useful to be able to help yourself to toast, cereal, tea and coffee etc. Nice little courtyard to sit outside too

No kitchen

We enjoyed our stay at the Barn, it's a lovely property and a quirky layout which adds to the charm. Very clean and comfortable and with food basics such as bread, milk, tea/coffee, jams etc provided along with crockery/cutlery, toaster, fridge and kettle. We were able to park on the drive which is gated and feels secure. Dave and Lisa were really nice and helpful, but respectful of privacy so we felt comfortable and at home. Thanks for a lovely stay!

Not a criticism because it's a converted barn and unavoidable, but you do need to be careful of the eaves in the bedroom especially if walking with the light off at night (the instructions do warn of this also!). Nowhere to wash dishes but they provide a container to put these in for washing if you're staying longer than one night.

Really nice place to stay, great hospitality and the room immaculate. Was made very welcome there and it is near a location we regularly visit. Would definately use again and happy to recommend.

Very cosy and warm with a separate dining room and proper fridge with milk and water and cold drink.Also a loaf of bread with butter and various condiments supplied.The whole apartment seemed brand new and has been looked after immaculately.At night there was zero noise from outside and no internal sounds from heating or boiler etc.I travel a lot for various events and can say that the Barn was the best accommodation I’ve ever stayed at by far.I shall definitely return.Many thanks Lisa

It was perfect! I had a very comfortable and cosy stay. The owners are so friendly, and the property is in a lovely quiet village right off the A1. It was beautifully decorated, there was fresh milk for a cup of tea and the bed was very comfortable. A real home away from home! They had everything you could need.
