Big Papaws Place

Didn't hear or see any neighbors next to us. It was quiet.

The house needed major attention. The grass wasn't cut in the backyard where we sat around the fire and the swingset is, it was knee high. none of the clocks were set in the house. none of the chairs on the patio had cushions on them so couldn't sit on the deck. The hunting game downstairs didn't work, the cords were cut to the rifles on it. The basketball game in the garage didn't fully work either, it didn't keep score of your shots against someone on the score board. The driveway was an absolute nightmare to get into and get out of, you had to make a 3 point turn when entering and exiting and if you have a low vehicle, it will bottom out going down into the driveway. The property isnt marked so you don't know which driveway to pull into if you've never been there, we had to back up and turn around which was almost impossible that area is so close together and hard to move your vehicle around in. When we arrived the AC wasn't working at all, we had to contact the property owner who gave us suggestions on how to fix it, we had to reset the breaker. The kids room for some reason has locks on it and the bathroom, but the adults rooms upstairs have no locks on them. The hot tub has 2 hanging strands of light above them but only 1 works.

I love how kid-friendly the house was. Not a ton of decorative things at kid-level, kids plates included in the kitchen, toys and books in the bunk bed room, and waterproof mattress protectors on the bunk beds! My son loved being able to sleep on a bunk bed for the first time and had a blast on the swing set. The beds were very comfy and there were plenty of linens available. I would definitely love to stay here again in the future.

We were very happy with Big Papaws Place. It was in a great location and was very quiet and a really nice place for anyone in the family. The game room was awesome for everyone. Everything you need for a family vacation.

Great for kids, family with pets.

Didn't realize kids room was in basement. We took turns sleeping in one of the bunks with them. Older kids would be fine. Bunks were comfortable!
