The Room Ortigia

The directions to the place was very clear. The host let me checked out late with no extra charge.The location was perfect, so close to many amenities and restaurants.

There wasn't much air circulation in the room.

We stayed for 2 nights in the end of August, so a high season. The location is amazing. Right to the Temple and the market, in a picturesque area at the beginning of Ortigia. So you can easily walk around Ortigia or cross the bridge to Syracusa. Ortigia is a really special place. Narrow pedestrian streets with cafes, restaurants, gelaterias and shopes. The room is located on the ground floor with direct access to a narrow pedestrian street. The room is recently refurbished with nice mix of modern and traditional. We especially liked the ceiling with the wooden beams. It was very clean. The wi-fi worked quite well. The hosts are really amazing. They let us few hours before check-in. They also gave their best to resolve a small issue we had with local rent a bike company.

The bathroom could be bit roomier

Very nice room design but rather small. It is certsinly very cosy! Good quiet location.

Room and bathrom are on the small side. In spite of the host's detailed instructions and Google Maps it is a little difficult to find - but maybe that is part of the adventure

I liked the look of the room, its location with the attractions (parking, restaurants, bars, museums, etc..) which are all just a few steps away. If you feel like walking for a few minutes (20-30'), leaving your car in the car park, a visit to the archaeological area is also pleasant.

the room is very comfortable for a stay oriented towards tourist activity, I would only add a shelf or a table to store the beauty case when you are in the bathroom

It was very clean, and had the basic necessities. I appreciated the toiletries, coffee maker and the tea maker. I’d liked the atmosphere, buried on the little pathways of the old town. My communications with the host, Cristina, we’re very helpful. She recommended a good restaurant, very communicative. The directions could’ve been complicated, but I actually found the place much easier to find than other places that should have been easy to find. It’s location made accessing Ortigia easy, and not far from the Central Station. About a mile.

It was advertised as a house. But it was only a tiny bedroom with a miniature attached bathroom. No way was it a house. It is located near a small Piazza, where they had a very loud music party in the middle of the week, the music went on until midnight… And I had to be up at 5 o’clock the next morning. Next night was quieter, there were only firecrackers for about 5 minutes. The workmen next door began noisy work every morning before 8 o’clock, but I was already awake.

Everything was good! The room was very clean and the location is great!

Nothing! Ther room is small and has no windows, but we already knew it and wasn’t a problem for us!

The location of this accommodation is central. There room has everything you need (including complementary coffee and water, which i really appreciated; especially the tasty coffee :)), but it is very, very small. Also the bathroom is tiny, with no space to put the toiletries. The major thing i didn't like tough is the fact that it does not have any windows in the room. :( There is only the door and a window in the bathroom. Therefore, It gets moisty in the room. The host is indeed amazing, very helpful and responsive. Also she provided useful indications of how to get to the room and was always in touch with us.

The room does not have windows and it is very small. Lacks natural light. It can get moisty inside. Also the bed is not very comfy. :(
