Mila Malia Studios Hotel

Mila malia hotel is an authentic hotel 100 metres from the sea. Hotel owner Fedon was very interested in us. We had a very nice breakfast with fresh tomatoes, vegetables and eggs from his own farm. Internet is very good. Be sure to try a cocktail in the hotel bar.

All was great, couldn't ask for more. Clean, tidy holiday studio, the staff very friendly and welcoming. The beach was very close, full of restaurants around, beautiful old town on a short walk.

The location of the apartment was absolutely great. A few minutes to a long sandy beach and the night street (strip) too. Convenient place with supermarket, tavernas and Mezes just next door. Studio apartment was Cretan style, clean and comfy with working AC. A kitchenette with fridge and small electric stove with utensils. Bathroom with hair dryer, gel etc. Nice terrace with chairs and table and lot of flowers and greenery around. I liked the fact that every room had a clothes rack. Fedon is an absolute great host. He is a friendly and helpful guy. Gave us tips &suggestion to visit places in Crete. Catherina, sweet and pleasant who kept the place clean. Fedons son, Andres knew exactly what the guest wanted for breakfast. We truly enjoyed our stay here. I would recommend this place but keep in mind its not a luxury apartment.

The swimming pool is not in the premises. It is outside 2-3mins walk, but a public recreational pool. It is meant for small kids. So you don't feel too comfortable. You cannot take your own food there, you have to purchase from the bar inside. And also pay for the slides. There was a small window in the bathroom which when opened would bring in the gutter smell from outside and fill up the room if it the room was unoccupied. And if we kept it closed, the humidity in the bathroom built up. They should install an exhaust. Breakfast was the same everyday-bread, boiled eggs, ham, cheese, butter and jam. I wish there was some fresh greek yoghurt with fruits. Although the coffee was great.

Relaxing and clean. Close to the beach. Host is amazing, he waited for us late at night.

Style.

The owner is very kind person. Always willing to help with anything. My kids felt like at home and were very happy due this friendly attitude. Room was like on pictures. Basic breakfast, but with very good coffee. Hermes car rental in front of hotel.

Very friendly owner and staff. Gave us lots of info about local amenities and places to visit. Great location near the beach and most beach bars, nightclubs. Great value for money room. Good wi-fi speed and coverage. Near a parking lot.

The space felt small for 4 adults at times. Didnt really like the shower/toilet combination. Water would often escape into the corridor under the door when showering. Wish there was an extra AC unit in the room, it was hard to cool the double bed and upstairs room.
