I LOVED EVERYTHING

Its a beautiful cottage in Kurland village/township, very clean and open with kitchenette; sitting area with tv that has DSTV channels;wifi; a separate shower and a bath. Was actually a home away from home.

Can’t say - we didn’t see past the front gate as the owner didn’t know who we were and had no idea of our booking!

When we arrived we pulled up at the front gate and had to wait a while for the owner to come out. When she did, she had no idea who we were and was completely unaware of our booking. We showed her proof of our booking, but she was still not aware of us despite me having made the booking well over a month in advance of our stay. It also isn’t clear on the accommodation information that it is situated in an area that would be considered unsafe to stay in for many tourists. As the owner was unaware of, and therefore unprepared for our booking, we ended up having to find different accommodation at the last minute late in the evening. However, I think we likely would have chosen to stay somewhere else anyway based on what we saw. The issue, however, came when trying to arrange a refund. The owner told us to contact Booking.com and tell them that she was not able to accommodate us, then when Booking.com contact her she would tell them that the payment needs to be reversed to us. I did so, but when Booking.com contacted the owner, she said that she was still expecting our arrival and the booking was still going ahead. When I argued this, Booking.com were completely useless in assisting us and ignored all my communications following this. Therefore, we have not received our refund and we are under the impression that the owner of this property may be running a scam. I highly recommended this place not be booked by anyone looking for accommodation in the area.

Unfortunately the hostess had her dates mixed up and did not expect us when we arrived at 5pm in the afternoon. We had to wait 30 minutes for her to prepare the room. The hostess is teaching in Knysna and had to leave very early the next morning - so no breakfast. We were offered a breakfast at a nearby franchise, which we did not take up.

Location Poor network, interrupted internet Plumbing system very poor, with offensive? sewege smell from bathroom. Poor quality, needs to level up a little bit.

Perfect stay, had everything we needed, clean and comfortable, whole house, Good wifi. Good location plenty to do around the area.

Noisy fridge freezer but we just turned off overnight.

We needed an overnight stay for 4 people. It was very clean and very comfortable and good value for money. The neighborhood was quiet.

Perhaps, if possible, improve on the water pressure, otherwise all very nice.
