It was clean, very comfortable bed, the host was very welcoming and the breakfast was amazing The foot massage was a bonus!

Walking the Portuguese Coastal Caminho, we stumbled upon what can only be described as a true oasis—Salgueira Pilgrim’s Rest. Originally planning to push on to Esposende, we saw this place, couldn’t resist, and happily shortened our day. The photos looked incredible, and the reviews were glowing… but even those didn’t fully prepare us. Simply put, the cat is out of the bag—this place is more than a 10/10. It’s peaceful, beautifully kept, and incredibly comfortable. After a long day on the trail, a refreshing shower was exactly what we needed, but the unexpected luxury of a foot massager truly set this stay apart. It was such a thoughtful touch and made all the difference—we slept deeply and woke up completely restored. In the morning, Armanda welcomed us with a truly scrumptious breakfast. Everything was fresh, generous, and prepared with care. She is a warm, charming host who clearly puts her heart into what she does, and it shows in every detail. The location is ideal—just a short walk to several restaurants and a small corner shop, only about four minutes from the beach, and roughly 1 km from town. Perfectly placed for pilgrims who want both convenience and a bit of tranquility. “The Caminho provides” is something you hear often, and this stay was a perfect reminder of that truth. Our hearts are full. Thank you, Armanda, for your kindness, your hospitality, and for creating such a special place along the way.

It was one of the best stays we ever had. If possible I would give more than 10 points! Everything exceed our expactations, especially the host was so kind and the breakfast was really outstanding!
