Destiny Goa Beach Resort

Loved the location. Loved the private pool.

There were people peeping in to our private pool area. It was not private enough. There was work going on and the pool is covered with coconut tree leaves which had no acoustics. Workers kept having full visibility into our pool

Pools were great and nice area for breakfast. Great location to get to both beaches

Loud music, the bar was trying a bit too hard to be a party location when actually no guests were there for a party. Bathrooms are very basic and not that clean

The resort is perfectly located right by patnem and Palolem beach. The rooms are a very good size and the bed was also generously sized and very comfortable. The private pool was great to lounge around.

Whilst the staff encouraged room service there was no phone to actually do this so you had to go to the restaurant to order which kind of defeats the objective of room service. Unfortunately, there was no hot water for our duration and there was permanently an odd smell in the bathroom. It was also very noisy from the restaurant. One day, whilst eating dinner at 5pm for sunset it became so loud with a DJ belting out dance tunes! We felt we were clubbing in Ibiza! We were later told club nights are held there every Friday and Sunday night from 5pm!

The bar area is lovely, although too big for just 10 people. The staff our lovely.

Sadly my teenage daughter and myself faced too many disappointing issues within the first 24 hrs, so we moved out on the second day (we had only booked for 3 nights and we didn’t even stay the first night as it was just too bad) before our last 2 nights of our holiday was ruined. Our private pool could not be used until the 2nd day (green murky water). Strong sewage smell in the bathroom. No housekeeping/cleaning, before we finally moved out 28hrs later - bins weren’t emptied, bed not made. Our privacy invaded by random men walking along our private pool area. and staff coming around the corner to pool. Wifi took 2 hrs to connect. Stains on sheets and towels. Light switch in pool area hanging off wall with wires showing. Fan controls in bedroom were broken - could get full speed but knob of control just came off. Food and drink expensive. Tiny beach (private?) directly next to bar was full of rubbisb and advised not to swim in water. There are more points we had to deal with but I won’t continue. Asked for a refund. They won’t give me one. Their response was “we’re a new business. Other customers haven’t complained”!! This is the first time in my life (I am 54) I have had to experience such bad accommodation and written a review for this. The price they are charging is unacceptable for what we received. I moved them close to the edge where the staff seemed to appear, rather than from our door to our room.
