Oi Beach

In reality we did not stay at Oi Beach but at Wish Maamigili. The reason was Oi Beach had to do some renovations so they put us on Wish Maamigili for the same rate which was very nice of them and a good solution. Wish Maamigili looks great, has a nice pool, but the service isn’t the best yet.

I am writing about Wish Maamigili. The service was practically inexistent. People were a bit unpleasant, except the cleaning personnel.

The room is big but emtry. Air-condition is working.

1. He got late to pickup us at ferry port even he keep text me(annoying) before I arrive 2. other guest house give us welcome drink but this guest house we give welcome drink to them. After we arrive, he drive us to restaurant by motorbike.(2 girl feel uncomfortable and wired) Then he order drink and we eat lunch, but he get the drink to other table and do not pay. 3. He start to clean thier floor which is duty when we arrive..but not before we arrive. 4. He do not have many things, we ask for hairdry and they say no. 5. Booking include breakfast but they do not provide guesthose and even do not ask or arrange for it. I notice that they will drive other guest to restaurant by motobike....which you cannot get breakfast easily and need to waste morning time for your breakfast. 6. they provide the speedboat and exclusion high price than other guesthouse. 7. they are not reliable and lier for exclusion. We confirmed the date and price for night fishing and whaleshark trip. he keep prosponse the trip for 2 days AND TELL US WHEN WE ALREADY WAIT AT THE LOBBY(He also remind me to go everynight and ask us ready in lobby but finally propone) Finally, he disapper and do not pick phone call....when he come 30min late after the meeting time and say no fishing equipment provide in fishing trips...I say I have the fishing equipment ...and he say it is lauxy exclusion and ask for more money. He also ask for more money many times and proponse for whaleshark trip after we confirmed the date and time. Finally, We need to cancel all the exclusion at almost last days. 8. After we leave the hotel, he send us the video that he find whaleshark.????what is the purpose? 9. This island do not have nice beach/reef for snorkeling. Most guesthouses do in this island which just want to rape you from whale shark trip. 10. We request 2 single bed and they say possible. However, we still got double bed in both room.

The manager was nice and helpful, met me with a coconut on arrival. Breakfast and location was also good. A really beautiful bikini beach very near the hotel as well as a football stadium with matches going on both afternoons of my stay.

Dinner in the next-door restaurant (which collaborates with Oi Beach hotel) was a bit too spicy for my taste. No shampoo or soap provided by the hotel.

Kiki the owner could not have been more amazing. Right when I got there, he picked me up, got me a coconut and said welcome to the island, you are a local now - anything you need, I will help you. He took me to his grandmothers house for dinner two different times. I got to attend a big family gathering of there and he helped me with my scuba arrangements and my jet boat transportation. An absolutely amazing human and a great place to stay.

Nice, big, clean room, comfy bed, simple breakfast at local restaurant nearby, aircon, hot (not warm) shower, they pick you up from the Harbour

Staff was definitely friendly, but in some situations you felt that it's new and they are not used to this business, yet. Mosquito nets on the windows would be nice to let fresh air in, without them getting in also.

We stayed at kikis guesthouse, felt incredibly welcome from the first minute and had the most amazing time. He is such a lovely person, made sure we were comfortable and had everything we need at all times. We learned so much about Maamigili, the maldives and the malediven life, he and his friends even made a barbecue for us one night which was amazing. He helped us organize diving and organized a whale shark snorkeling tour, his friends joined us on the tour and made it one of the best experiences we've had with their knowledge and efforts. We saw it several times and even had the whale shark for ourselves a few moments all thanks to Kikis friends Ibrm and Ammdhy, and of course the boat captain:) The room is spacious and very clean with everything could need. Kiki made sure we paid a good price for the tours, answered all the questions we had and made sure we felt safe and like at home at all times. The breakfast in the restaurant next door was great and the owner couple very friendly. If I come back to the maldives I will definitely stay here:) Hope to see you again we can't thank you enough for making it such a memorable stay

Very lovely place with a small garden where one can sit and enjoy a coffee. Coffee machine and coffee can be used anytime.The owner is a very very friendly outgoing person, who is there for his guests. Anything his guests need they can ask him for. We went on amazing tours with him and his stuff. They did everything to make us see the stunning sea life around Maamagili island. He and his stuff met all my expectations.
