Katun Siska Medna Dolina

Amaizing place, wonderful people, the food is magnificent, you can feel the local Montenegrin vibe here. The place is located 1660 m a.s.l. closeby to the Šiško Jezero. The trekking roads are all over around, it's great place for a trip base. As an addition you may ride a horse or milk a cow. Cows, horses and sheeps are walking around freely :) You can never get enough of the views there, the tasty food that Slavica prepares and the talks with Miladin and Igor. I recommend the katun to everyone who is longing for the nature! No matter the weather we enjoyed it even when it was raining one evening :)

Naprosto skvělá lokalita - sám o sobě zážitek, extrémní pohostinnost ubytovatelů, velice ochotní a milí, pokud máte zájem, můžete se zapojit do “chodu” hospodářství. Naprosto dokonalý únik z reality a zároveň cestování časem! Na tento pobyt budeme s láskou vzpomínat i když jsme zde strávili pouze jednu noc. Ku překvapení i tam se dá chytit internet (hodil se překladač). Igor byl ale neustále k dispozici přes whatsapp a případné věci s rodiči vyřešil na dálku - děkujeme.

Příjezd je jen pro otrlé a na “silném” stroji, prijezdovka je dost šílená, nezpevněná cesta, vyhýbání protijedoucím autům náročné a místy nebezpečné. Navíc pokud na místě není Igor, může být domluva s domácími dost složitá (my měli výhodu slovanského jazyka, ale rodiče nerozumí anglicky nic 🙏) Na místě je docela chladno (měli jsme 5°C v noci ale měli jsme dostatek dek), bohužel nebyla teplá voda, což pro nás ale nebyl problém.

Sve je bilo divno - sjajni domaćini, uvijek na raspolaganju, posvećeni gostima; preukusna, domaća hrana; sjajan smještaj, čist, uredan, uređen s ukusom; prelijepa priroda i blizina čak četiri jezera, pješačke staze… zaista divno mjesto, sve preporuke!

Sehr schöner Urlaub auf einer ursprünglichen Alm mit modernem Komfort. Sehr nette herzliche Gastgeber. Dass sie kein Englisch sprechen erhöht den Reiz des Aufenthalts (zumal der Sohn per whatsapp immer erreichbar ist). Das traditionelle Essen ist sehr lecker, weitgehend selbstgemacht und reichhaltig. Guter Ausgangspunkt für diverse schöne Wanderungen auf markierten Wanderwegen und unmarkierten Hirtenpfaden.. Eine Kartenapp mit Offlinekarte ist hier hilfreich, da die erhältlichen Wanderkarten nicht gut sind.

Die Zufahrt ist mit einem normalen Pkw wirklich etwas problematisch und dauert lange. Anfahrten zu anderen Ausgangspunkten für Wanderungen sind deshalb kaum möglich (außer mit erhöhter Bodenfreiheit). Das ist aufgrund der Vielzahl an Wanderwegen im Umfeld aber auch nicht erforderlich.

Het verblijf was de beste plaats om het rustige bergleven te ontdekken en zelf te ervaren. Het eten was lekker, huisgemaakt en lokaal. Ik ben nog nooit zo gastvrij ontvangen. We waren de enige gasten en er werd speciaal voor ons heerlijk gekookt op de door ons gekozen tijdstippen.

Het was redelijk frisjes, vooral om ‘s avonds buiten te eten. Je kan gerust met de auto tot daar rijden, maar het laatste stuk was wel uitdagend. (We reden met een toyata yaris.)

Comfortable cabin rooms in the mountains, brilliant hospitality, amazing scenery — the most incredible homemade local food! What an experience.

Allow plenty time to slowly navigate the dirt road up into the mountains — we managed in our little Fiat Panda rental car without issue.

It is a beautiful setting, surrounded by hills and little lakes you can walk to! The hosts are very kind and can provide you meals for an extra cost. It is held by two brothers and their parents, the parents don’t speak English so that made it complicated sometimes, however I thought it added to the charm and authenticity. There was also wifi so you could ask the brothers for help if they were not there. I would definitely recommend if you’re looking for a peaceful stay without too many tourists.

The road to get there is a 40 minutes drive on a dirt road, which is not ideal with a small rental car. However we still made it without damage, and as it’s more remote because of the road, it is very authentic and peaceful!

Wir haben vor allem die wunderbar ruhige Lage, die Freundlichkeit der Gastgeber und die Wandermöglichkeiten sehr genossen. Hoffentlich bleibt dem Ort diese Ruhe und der Gegend der Artenreichtum erhalten.

Die Gastgeber waren super freundlich. Leider konnten wir uns weder auf Englisch noch auf Deutsch verständigen und die ÜbersetzungsApp hat auch nicht geholfen da es kein Netz gab. Aber mit einem Übersetzungsbüchlein haben wir uns die wichtigsten Dinge mitteilen können. Die Lage ist ein Traum. Völlige Abgeschiedenheit und wir hatten tolles Wetter! Frühstück und Abendessen gab es draußen vor der Hütte, deshalb auf jeden Fall warme Kleidung mitnehmen. Wir haben uns sofort wohl gefühlt. Zum Wandern idealer Ausgangspunkt! Unser Gastgeber hat uns sogar die 3 umliegenden Seen gezeigt. Abendessen und Frühstück sollte man auf jeden Fall bestellen, beides war gut und reichlich. Der Gastgeber hat dann auch noch aus seinem Weinkeller ein edles Tröpfchen von 2015 gebracht. Alles in allem auf jeden Fall eine Empfehlung!!!!

Man muss mal auf WLAN verzichten können und es gab auch nicht immer warmes Wasser zum Duschen. Aber man wird belohnt !
