"Nice breakfast and location with easy parking."

7.0

Jade and Scott were nice and the breakfast was good. The location and parking was also good.

My only real issue was with the beds. I would have preferred a double bed but I was in a twin room. I find single beds difficult to sleep in these days as I am fairly large. The bedding was clean and fresh and comfortable though.

"Fantastic views, home from stay in an incredible location"

Opening up the room door to see the views out to the sea was our first wow. This was a fantastic place to stay, clean, comfortable and an amazing breakfast included. Check in was easy, the staff incredibly friendly and helpful. Could not fault this guesthouse in any way and would definitely stay again

"Excellent value for money and a great place for a short stay."

We have stayed at the Guesthouse on a number of occasions and it just gets better. The Home Arms has undergone a major refurbishment to a very good standard. The rooms are modern, spacious, clean and very comfortable. Some rooms have a few of the sea. The breakfast is very good.

"Disappointed, both with the accommodation, the area (Eyemouth) and the weather, though appreciate that’s no one’s fault!"

5.0

Good location overlooking the harbour, easy parking with free access to public car park.

Very basic accommodation in the twin room we were in. We had been put in the top of the building and on arrival, the room was cold (window left open). The tea and coffee facilities were basic and there were no mugs or teaspoons - we went out and find a shop still open that sold mugs and teaspoons. To be fair, we did message the owner (Jade) who apologised that the cleaners should have not left the window open, and ensured the tea and coffee facilities were appropriately stocked. She would also have brought us some mugs etc, down, but we’d already sorted ourselves out. The overall feel of the accommodation is a bit hostel like. Decor is basic, furniture the same. Breakfast is between 8am and 9am, and is served in the ground floor dining room, which wasn’t particularly warm and again quite basic. The cooked breakfast was OK - scrambled eggs were a bit rubbery and not very tasty. We didn’t have a particularly restful night’s sleep due to the comfort levels, and decided next morning that after breakfast we would cut our stay short and head home a day early, obviously foregoing one night’s accommodation and food we had paid for.
