Nature's Retreat

The accommodation and breakfast were excellent, set in a cosy, quiet and secluded location. If you want to enjoy the peace and quiet but still be close to the cultural centre of Dambulla, this is the perfect place for you. For those looking to pamper themselves, there is a spa open to the public nearby. The famous Golden Temple and the Cave Temple are not far from the accommodation and are easily accessible on foot. Sigiriya Rock, as well as the ancient capitals of Anuradhapura and Polonnaruwa, are easily reached by car.

There is nothing to complain about. The owner stands out for their friendly customer service and excellent hospitality. Overall, the accommodation exudes pure peace and relaxation in its natural surroundings.

Everything about this place was top notch. Tidy, new suites, spacious and nice bathroom facilities. Breakfast was generous and made with care. Helpful and kind hosts. Excellent value.

Hard to be critical of this place, as it was all excellent. It is a bit away (thankfully) from the dust and noise of downtown Dambulla, which means you need a tuktuk if you have a problem with walking for more than 20 minutes. But they will arrange one for you no problem. Being surrounded by semi-wilderness means some mosquitoes around dusk.

My son & I had a wonderful stay at Natures Retreat in Sri Lanka. The property truly lives up to its name, surrounded by nature in a quiet and calming setting that makes it perfect for relaxation. From the moment we arrived, the staff ensured we were well looked after and that every requirement was catered to. They were incredibly warm and helpful, always happy to assist with any questions or arrange anything that was needed, whether it was local information or calling a tuk-tuk to take us into town; nothing was ever too much trouble. Breakfast was top-notch, healthy, authentic, and beautifully presented. I especially appreciated that we were asked what time we would like breakfast served, and every morning it was delivered exactly on time, which made everything feel very personal & well organised. Our room was spotless; the building felt new and thoughtfully designed. The tasteful wood furniture perfectly matched the natural surroundings, creating a warm & harmonious atmosphere. Everything was comfortable & peaceful which made us feel so relaxed. Overall, this is a peaceful, well-run property with exceptional hospitality. I would happily stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Sri Lanka. I forgot to mention this accommodation is ideally located to explore Dambulla town & Lion's Rock, but far enough from the chaos of the town to retreat & relax.

Having to leave!

Het personeel was fantastisch. We werden altijd begroet met een glimlach, er werd alles aan gedaan om aan onze wensen te voldoen en we voelden ons onderdeel van de familie. Het eten in het hotel is heerlijk! De bedden zijn comfortabel en de kamers heel erg schoon.

Ons viel niks tegen. Het hotel ligt ietsje afgelegen, maar dat zorgt juist voor rust en het gevoel alsof je in de natuur slaapt. Het hotel regelt ook transport, dus het centrum van Dambulla en attracties in de buurt zijn goed te bereiken.

This is a new and beautiful accommodation. The room had everything you could need, including air conditioning and a hairdryer. The location is stunning: right in the middle of nature and close to the Dambulla Cave Temple, Pidurangala, and Lion Rock. The breakfast was generous and delicious, with the option to choose between Western or Sri Lankan style. The host Chamila was also very attentive and available for anything we needed.

Pretty much everything . Rooms brand new staff extremely friendly and helpful. Delicious food.No complaints.

Nothing, close to perfection especially considering the price .

Staff molto cordiale e gentile, struttura pulitissima e grande attenzione e cura. Posizione tranquilla in mezzo alla natura, silenziosissima e molto comoda per visitare i templi di Dambulla

Wir wurden sehr herzlich mit Tee und Keksen empfangen. Das Frühstück war das beste auf unserer Reise (Sri Lanka style, Obst, Kaffee, Eier). Die Betten sind sehr bequem und es ist recht ruhig. Absolut sauber!! Die Gastgeber sind großartig und organisieren wirklich alles.

Uns hat nur die Ausrichtung der Klimaanlage nicht gefallen, da immer eine Person im Zug lag :(
