NLThis place is so beautiful and off the grid that you fully relax . Don’t expect. A lot of choice in food or drinks . All is basic but good and the staff is very friendly and also. All the guests seemed happy and relaxed
We loved everything . We had to leave earlier than we wanted because I had bruised ribs so couldn’t do much . They simply didn’t charge us for the drinks and food we had . All is good there .
AUThe beach right in front is beautiful and have fun and mellow waves. Rooms are comfy and have AC. The onsite restaurant is handy to have right there at the accommodation. Got a few surf spots within 5-15 minutes driving your scooter(that you can rent there, with surf rack). Staff in nice and place is surrounded by coconut palms. Beautiful garden also. The place is better than the photos online!

PTMy partner and I had the best time staying at Lances Left surfcamp. Bob and everyone working there are such lovely and welcoming people! Right at the beach, awesome sunsets, and good food! Also the beach break and the reef in front are actually super fun surf. But we also had a scooter provided by Bob to get to all other surf spots. Highly recommend staying here, would always come back!!!
NLThe location is absolutely outstanding, like you’re in a movie. The bungalow where we slept was also super nice! Staff was very friendly as well.
The only downside was that the electricity broke down a couple of times and that there we not a lot of other places to eat around the camp. But I think that’s what you got if you decide to stay at such a remote place.
ATThe breakfast was delicous and very fresh. Bob the owner and his family are very friendly and helpful. They will pick you up when you arrive on the island. The view of the beach is one of the best I have seen. Highly recommend!
SELances left surfcamp is probably the best place you will find on the island. Bob and his team are super accommodating and help you with everything you need and want. They helped with pick-up and drop off in the harbour, got us scooters first thing in the morning, showed us the surf spots, took us fishing and made bbq on the beach for us. Just amazing. The bungalow is on the beach and you get served breakfast to it every morning. It can’t get better than that! The bungalow is simple, but it has everything you nee; AC, mosquito net, private bathroom and wifi. If you’re looking for a true Mentawai experience, this is it!
