Great location right at the Dasaswamedh Ghat. The rooftop restaurant serves good food and provides a nice view on the stairs and the ceremonies. Staff is very friendly and helpful. My room was rather basically equipped with only bed and chair and without window, but okay for the price. Cleanliness is okay as well.

There were no WiFi in the room only on the top floor. I would say it is a bit overpriced for what you get here. It is nowhere near to the picture... Also staff will charge you extra to watch Pooja from the roof even if you are a guest and they will forget to mention this at the beginning. They are collecting money when there is no time change spot or just decide without missing Pooja. You won't get towels if won't ask for them. I would not recommend this place to friends.

The location on Dashashwamedh Ghat is unbeatable, and the photos on Booking are genuine. You can watch the Aarti ceremony from the rooftop and rent a boat in front of the hotel. Everything is within walking distance. The rooms are basic but clean, and the staff is helpful and friendly. My room had a view of the river and ghat which was great. It`s an old building so be prepared to climb many stairs. Excellent value, but don't expect 5-star accommodation.

My experience is an overall excellent one! Already before coming the owner was very responsive to my questions and the pick-up from airport and even the escorting for the last meters worked perfectly. The room was the cleanest I have seen so far (even with soap and toilet paper) and it also had some decorative items like beautiful lamp and wall painting. Also, I was asked proactively after the 2nd day of I wanted my sheets to be changed. All staff was at all times very friendly and helpful. And the location ist just PERFECT! You’re in the middle of everything - and yes: the view from the roof top is wonderful! I’d definitely recommend this place to my friends and would come again. Thank you for your lovely hospitality!

Yes, it was also the smallest and most expensive room I’ve been in but I noticed that in Varanasi in general the price level is higher than in other cities.
