Ubud Sky

Ubud Sky is a 10 minute walk from downtown Ubud and just far enough to be away from the hustle & bustle. Situated above the road leading into town there are great views--especially if you are in the upper of the two rooms. Air Con, WiFi, and hot water all work very well and there's even a fridge for the excellent price. The room is spacious and the host is very kind and speaks excellent English if needed. What's not to like? I had a fantastic stay.

Staying at Ubud Sky was the perfect start of my holiday in Bali. Mr. Gungtra the owner has been very communicative from the moment I booked. He also provided a pick up service for a great rate from the Airport, so I did not have to to worry about finding my way. The location is wonderful. It is around a 15 to 20 minute walk from Ubud center. There are also plenty amenities near such as laundry, spa’s, supermarket, money exchange etc. The room itself was clean and spacious. The shower was very spacious and so pretty. The balcony is a huge plus and has a gorgeous view. I’m a huge pancake lover and was pleased to hear Mr. Gungtra had pancakes on the breakfast menu. So I have been eating pancakes every morning. He also brings the breakfast to the room so you can eat it on the balcony, while enjoying the view. Mr. Gungtra also provides tours and this was a huge plus so I did not have to find anybody else. He brought me to Heaven Swing, Jatiluwih Rice Terrace and Ulun Danu Temple. He was also very patient with making pictures and videos. Thank you so much Mr. Gungtra for everything, you are appreciated.

You get to catch a beautiful sunrise right from your room, and the breakfast is not just good but downright tasty! Plus, the owner is super friendly and always ready to lend a hand, making it a fantastic stay.

As in most places in Bali sound insulation is almost nonexistant so noises coming from street.

Very clean, super good location and super good service. The price to value is super high. Simple room, clean and tidy. Located atop of a few stairs, so you need to be able to walk them (with this I mean that there are no alternatives for disabled people as far as I could tell). The breakfast is also good and they provided us with gluten free alternatives for the flour so my girlfriend could have pancakes for breakfast. The breakfast is served at the terrace if your own room, very handy.

Very spacious room, high ceiling, sunny with a panoramic view of Ubud which was super nice! There are actually only 2 rooms so everything is very personalised. Mr. Gungtra and his wife are always here to help and they can tell you all about Bali culture, if you want to get to know more about Balinese life, it is the perfect place! You can definitely trust Mr Gungtra to organise transport and excursion for you at a very reasonable price (i got quoted 30% more at other guesthouses for transportation to the same area). Breakfast was fantastic as you eat it at your own patio and was set up very nicely.

As Ubud is now quite a busy village, do expect traffic noise that can be heard not just at the Guesthouse but also in most part of Ubud. It takes some uphill and upstairs walking to reach the guesthouse, so make sure no heavy suitcase.
