The Views Hakuba

Immaculate property - every appliance was top of the line from the oven to the bidets. Every piece of cutlery and flatware was a complete set. The beds were comfortable, the furnishings were excellent, the water pressure was perfect, the views are amazing. I even did a speed test on the wifi and found it was consistently 150Mbps and above. Special mention is the host Peter who couldn't do enough to help out. He got us into restaurants when everywhere was booked out, he provided local advice and assistance with everything from ski locations to equipment providers. The Views was all around one of the best places we've ever stayed - and we've stayed in many. This is no ordinary rental apartment - it's a premium home that would easily be a permanent residence.

No downsides - just a tip for first timers to Hakuba like we were. We'd planned on using shuttle buses however you'd be well advised to rent a car. The Views is well positioned to visit all the ski resorts but Hakuba Valley is quite spread out. Walking to the lifts is not an option. If you're staying somewhere as nice as The Views - you'll want to make use of the dedicated parking space and vehicle access. Parking at the ski resorts was plentiful. Pharmacies, supermarkets and restaurants are within a few minutes walk and the shuttle buses are very close.

Great location, comfortable bedrooms, adequate bathroom facilities, well equipped kitchen, excellent living area.

Heating in main living room went off at about 11pm till 7am, so it got a bit cold. Access pathway to front door of apartment block was very icy and slippy.
