Lake Edge Resort

Wij hebben erg genoten van ons verblijf bij Lake Edge Resort. Met ons gezin hadden we 2 kamers geboekt; allebei ruim, heel schoon met mooie badkamer. Er is een heerlijk terras en een rooftop. Je hebt een prachtig uitzicht op het meer en de stupa’s in Anuradhapura. De eigenaren zijn echt super lieve mensen. Dat maakt het verblijf voor ons onvergetelijk. De uitstapjes met gids naar de stupa’s in de oude stad en de safari in Wilpattu heeft de eigenaar voor ons geregeld; allebei aanraders! Van het ontbijt en diner hebben we ook genoten; alles wordt met veel aandacht klaargemaakt.

Sasanga and his wife were wonderful hosts. They are very helpful and friendly. Sasanga is always with a smile and that itself would make anyone’s day beautiful. The place was very clean with a modern bathroom and located in a convenient location. Several plants were nicely placed to give a more naturalistic touch. Our rooms were in the 3rd floor and it had a designated dining area at same level with beautiful lake view. Therefore, we don’t really have to go down for our meals. They provide delicious home cooked meals at reasonable price, all brought to your level and arranged at the dining area nicely. We always ordered breakfast and dinner here so that we can refresh ourself before having meals rather than eating outside with sweaty cloths (Anuradhapura is very hot region). Laundry service is also provided at the accommodation at small extra cost which is very convenient and much needed for warm place like this. We can go to the top level and enjoy sunrise if we wake up early. Sasanga also helped us to arrange a place for our driver. We totally enjoyed our stay at this place. Thanks to Sasanga and his wife :)

Het was een geweldig verblijf. Wat ons het meest is bijgebleven zijn de ontzettend lieve eigenaren die alles voor je doen om het je zo goed mogelijk naar je zin te maken. Een fijne kamer en het hotel is goed gelegen. Op het dakterras heb je een mooi uitzicht op de stoepa’s. Wij bevelen dit verblijf zeker aan!

Un poco apartado pero vale la pena

Very clean and tidy place. The best shower we had after four days of travelling. Sasanka & his wife were very helpful advising us of the good restaurants around & places to visit. The view from the top of the property was awesome & Sasanka showed us the best place to watch the sunrise. The rooms and the top balcony is filled with live plans which made this place so special :)

An excellent place with a lovely rooftop. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. This was our second stay, and we’ll definitely be back again!
