Lake Edge Resort

We planned to stay 2 nights but we ended up extending it to 5 nights. The family is extremely friendly and hospitable, going far and beyond to make our stay convenient and unforgettable: local tips, washing clothes, cooking any meals, short transports, and scooter rent can be arranged without hassle. They even significantly discounted the final bill and gifted us with some local souvenirs! The food was absolutely delicious! Fresh ingredients cooked with love, and the recipes were changing according to our liking. Every morning when we left to explore and late at night when we came back they came out to greet us and see if all is fine. The resort is with amazing views. The lake, sunrise and sunset are gorgeous with a view to 3 biggest stupas with lights on the whole new night. It’s 7-10 minutes drive with a scooter to the nearest stupas and ancient hidden sights. We had many mornings e.g. at Wessagiriya cave complex meditating and resting on smooth rock formations under giant rocks shadows, and watching peacocks’ dancing. All rooms are with A/C and very comfortable beds. There is no water heating (or cooling) so if you don’t demand hot showers but instead prefer refreshing cool showers during the hot days, it will be perfect. Next time we will come back with a bigger family. Thank you so much for everything! 🙏

Amazing place never I had seen Anuradhapura area.can be seen five STHUPA on the roof top. and Also can be seen beautiful sun rising over the Tissawewa tank.

The location was super. I recomend to go there at night to see the beauty of the old sri lankan history.
