Lumina Home Stay

Location is awesome, in the centre of heritage town. You can walk to almost all places. Property owner was very helpful

Wife and two kids, and I stayed for 4 nights. This is a small 2BHK house in the second floor (no lift). The house is reasonably clean.

We are unhappy about our stay for many reasons even though the house was reasonably clean. First of all, it looks like many of the reviews here are fake and misleading. The overall dealing with the owner was fully unprofessional. First, he called me to pay an advanced amount, and I have transferred 1000/-. After that, he started some kind of negotiations-‘ whether you are okay with an Indian toilet, is it okay for accommodating one more family in the same house in the other bedroom, etc. I have not agreed for the first one but agreed for the second one. Then he told that bathrooms are not attached to bedrooms, it is from the common area. Then I have told him that I was not fine for accommodating one more family. The bedroom is so small and other than that bed nothing else is there. We need to keep all our belongings to the hall. It would have been a disaster if one more family was accommodated there. No locker for keeping your valuables. There is no wash basin in the entire house, you need to use the kitchen sink. The house was located in a highly congested area. Reaching there with the car is a frightening experience. No parking is available here. I have to park my car on that congested road where guarantee for safety. He has charged 500 extra for using gas cylinder although I just wanted to use it once in day to heat my little one’s food. He insisted me to pay the full amount (13,000 for 4 nights) on the first day itself. Fortunately, I did not do it. Each time, he was driving in a two-wheeler Infront of my car to clear the way so that I can drive out of the congested area. A couple of times, he just hid and asked to me manage myself, where I got scratches on my new car. Last day he asked to me cancel my booking so that he needs not to pay ‘Booking.com’ and taxes. I did not agree with it. Then, has requested me to not give a review. He has told me that it is new business for him and he is expecting me to help him.

I highly recommend LUMINA HOME STAY This place for people visiting pondy with "Family or Friends " the host Mr Kamalesh is extremely friendly and humble very helpful!! The houses are well maintained with all the necessary amenities v stayed for 3 days 2 nights it was so comfortable and mostly felt safe n cozy location is great as will as walkable distance to Mani Road It is Located Near by MG Road .This was a beautiful experience overall!!! Very friendly host. He helped us with getting around the city too. He even offered to help us in case we get stuck somewhere. Very professional behaviour

The water was a tad bit salty. I couldn't think of any other problem. Overall we had a great stay

Rooms are very neat and really an awesome time with stay 😎 I personally Suggest for a group of friends,couples and family for a budget friendly stay especially for its cleanliness and quality. Worth stay 🖤 Kamalesh owner of the stay is humble in his behaviour and very friendly to speak and ask for any help that requires .Keep doing the great job 🖤 Best luck 🤞
