Excellent location at the beach

Booking site states air conditioning in the balcony room, there is none - an old unit still on the wall can't be used as it switches all electric off if you try.

Wie waren jetzt das dritte Mal hier weil die Lage so toll ist. Man hört nachts das Meer rauschen und geht vom Zimmer 20 Meter und ist am Strand. Strandliegen werden umsonst zur Verfügung gestellt. Der Strand ist toll, es gibt einige schöne Lokale direkt am Strand, er ist aber nicht sehr stark besucht. Gegessen haben wir im Dilena nur mittags. Garnelen, Tintenfisch, kottu Rotti, Burger und Sandwich. Es hat alles geschmeckt. Preislich auch eher im unteren Segment der reinen Strandlokale angesiedelt.

Mir ist bewusst, dass die Unterkunft im unteren Preibereich liegt und sich das natürlich im Standart wiederspiegelt. Einen Punktabzug muss ich allerdings doch machen, da in unserem Zimmer einige Sachen negativ aufgefallen waren, die mit wenig Aufwand behoben werden könnten. Ein Vorhang hatte einen großen Riß, die Türen klemmten da Schrauben nicht richtig angezogen bzw. abgedreht waren. Klobrille und Spiegel im Bad könnten Mal ausgetauscht werden.

This place will always be special to us — I proposed to my girlfriend here. Dilen and Lanka were incredibly supportive and kind throughout our stay. The peaceful garden, seaside location, and delicious food made it even more memorable.

However, the room was a bit dark during the day, and I believe both cleanliness and assistance with guests’ luggage could be improved. Despite that, it was a truly beautiful and heartfelt experience that we will always cherish.

The location is absolutely fantastic; you're just a stone's throw away from the beach, with a mere 20-meter walk. However, the accommodation itself is somewhat dated and lacks comfort. I recommend investing in renovations to elevate the quality of the rooms. On a brighter note, the beach is truly stunning – serene, uncrowded, with a designated safe area for swimming, and it offers a perfect vantage point for witnessing breathtaking sunrises. Additionally, the staff is friendly and consistently available to assist guests, which is a definite plus.

Nice little restaurant on the beach. Lovely to go to sleep listening to the sound of the sea. Comfortable bed.

6 am sweeping outside the room

Only one thing is good there. And it is beach which is 5 meters from accommodation.

So many Ants, Cockroach and lizards everywhere, what is make your stay bit uncomfortable. Basically enything not bigger then 10cm 😀 We traveled around Sri Lanka for a month and I know they are everywhere …but this was extreme. The holes in the walls and floor need to be repaired. Also stuff is so slow. Had to wait in empty restaurant where working 3-4people so long just for drink and at the end we get just half of order. We give them few chances, but then we give it up and we spend rather rest of time in Tangalle at bars and restaurants around. Which are great. For housekeeping you have to ask almost with apologies…. it’s not daily how they advertise.

We had the upper private room, with balcony and private bathroom. Which where clean, fresh and very private. Not only for the price, but it's genuinely a good room. Hot shower, towels and clean bed. Highly recommended!

The WiFi only worked on the balcony. But that's the only thing.

Very friendly hosts with a warm welcome. The room was very clean and there was no unpleasant smell like in some other places. Beds were also really comfortable.
