Excellent location and the staff are absolutely friendly and helpful. The place has a nice relaxing communal area with their very own fruit plantation. Very calm and peaceful environment here. Food is really fresh and flavourful.

Would be better if they have a pool. But they are considering building one.

Sigiriya Review : We traveled from Negambo to Sigiriya and the drive there was beautiful, it couldn’t get any better, or could it? Our stay at Amigoes ecostay resort may have been a hasty decision, but it was the best decision of that trip. The moment we arrived the wonderful staff at the resort welcomed us with warm tea and conversation. They showed us around the property and told us all about the farm to plate experiences they offer here. We had booked the budget room, but the owner Dilan and the staff was kind enough to offer us the tree house experience at no additional cost since there was no booking there. The room was impeccably clean and so was the bathroom. There were two large beds, mosquito nets and running hot water. Now coming to the food, right before we left for the day Chef asked us about our dinner plans, we requested for a simple chicken curry and rice However, on our return we were greeted with a table full of food. There were 5 different types of veg, some daal, salad, chicken curry, Sam bol… believe me, Chef’s food was the best meal I had in Srilanka. The ingredients were fresh and everything was made to perfection. The next day morning, we went on to the Lion Rock and returned to a large breakfast. Once again, Chef out did himself. Fresh fruits, warm hoppers, lip smacking curry what more could one want? All in all, the stay, the service, the food and the hospitality in general are a 12/10. I am so glad we didn’t skip sigiriya Amigos ecostay has our heart. Can’t wait to return Shout out to Dilan and Chef for making our trip to Srilanka super special
