The Mill

Good selection of hot and cold breakfast available and all beautifully presented in a very characterful dining room with a super view of the garden and lake beyond. It was a very peaceful and relaxed eating experience with Susan as a congenial hostess. Honesty fridge for guests and tea/coffee facilities in conservatory and in rooms were welcome. Bedroom was very comfortable with ensuite facility. There was a boutique feel to the Mill which had been beautifully restored with a very interesting history.

Very small but good

The room was very much typical higher end B&B; nice furnishings, if a bit dated, but that was the vibe. There's no place to sit in the room itself, but the downstairs has ample seating and even if there are other guests around, they are often not visible so you can be as private as you want to be. Breakfast was superb. Susan really lays out a great breakfast, cooked to order. Heavy on Irish Breakfast, which is too much food for me in the morning, but she was able to cut down the portions so that I didn't feel guilty leaving a lot of food uneaten. I'd say the breakfast ranks among the best at any hotel or B&B I've had in the last 5 years.

There was nothing I didn't like. I suppose it could be closer to town, but we had no problem finding parking in town when we went to eat dinner, so in the end the location was just fine. It's right on the water, and the views are quite pretty.

Delicious breakfast including local specialities

I requested an earlier breakfast each morning because of golfing commitments and the hosts were so accommodating and cooked a delicious breakfast each morning earlier than usual. Overall I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. The room was cosy and had beautiful views over the lake, the breakfast was delicious, the hosts were brilliant and it was certainly good value for money.

The Mill was a fantastic B&B. Great value with an excellent breakfast Susan is an excellent host and very friendly with a great knowledge of the region. Highly recommended this accommodation.
