"I would not recommend staying here - due to the neighbours"

1.0

Inside The place was indeed just as the photos it was immaculate

1) Countless phone calls, emails, voicemail to the owner finally revealed how we could get the keys - 10 mins before our arrival at the property after several hours of driving. In fact we had started searching local hotels as we were unconvinced the owner would reply at all in time for our stay. 2) No bathroom toiletries were provided, we had to go and buy some from local shop. 3) The demented next door neighbour banging with their fists on the door at nearly midnight whilst we were all ASLEEP. The the owner of our property phoning or texting the Youngish Child (this was the correct number) saying there has been complaints about noise from the property. All three of us were ASLEEP at the time! The Childeren were frightened by this 'angry' banging on the door thinking they were in some american Horror movie. The neighbour somehow thought that the loud noise of music that was actually coming from the industrial estate opposite was coming from a property next door (ours) where three people in it were sleeping, until the very angry banging on the door - which we did not open. It was completely outrageous.

"Lovely weekend"

9.0

A lovely well appointed cottage, comfortable seating and beds and looked as it had been freshly refurbished with homely touches. It was perfect for our stay.

It was a very cold weekend so this needs to be taken in context- the bathroom, was quite cold in comparison with the excellent heating everywhere else and a non-slip shower mat and some oven gloves would have been an added bonus. But overall, a lovely stay.
