Excellent location, large property with great views and nice swimming pool. Please disregard the negative comment about toilet roll on the review by 'Birznieksm Austria' as this is common practice throughout Madeira due to the nature of their waste water systems and processing.

Both shower head brackets were broken or missing on our arrival. The host was unavailable to be there at check in or check out, but in fairness did send someone over to fix it on the second day whilst we were out. This property does have the feel of borrowing someone else's home as opposed to a dedicated holiday let and as such it was not as sorted as we would have expected (e.g. mould on bathroom shower head, window latches sticking and not repaired). Having internal CCTV cameras is rather disconcerting, especially for someone prone to sleepwalking with any clothes on! The following are not the fault of the owners in any way as they are beyond their control, but folk might want to bear them in mind ... the adjacent properties had dogs which were constantly barking especially in the late evenings and early mornings, plus also during the nights - this made sleeping very difficult and interrupted. Also every afternoon we were there, at least one of the nearby properties were using a petrol strimmer (or similar) which went on for ages - it is a shame they couldn't coordinate their efforts onto just one day and allow for some afternoon peace and quiet the rest of the time!

Cozy and nice house in with nice views. The house, garden, location, views and pool exceeded our expectations. The indoor pool near the living room with openable doors and windows allows enjoying swimming in every weather. Very welcoming and helpfully host. Helped us with tips for our stay, locations, sightseeings, shops and probably everything that could be needed. Location with nearly all day sun. Morning sun for pool and evening sun for great grill area. Well-equipped kitchen. During our stay there was everything needed for first days for kitchen, laundry washing, dishwasher, coffee, tee... everything We can definitely recommend the house and Porto da Cruz for enjoying Madeira.

We didn't like and are not used to that the toilet paper is not wasteble in toilet in times when there is biodegradable paper and nearly every possible solution available. But for many, probably that wouldn't be a problem. Otherwise, we really enjoyed our unfortunately too short stay in this house.
