Gokul farm house

Inside the forest. Full of trees. Very good external ambience. Near to the Gir safari gate. Inside the farm house, it is a very homely atmosphere. People are very good. They feed very good food. Pool is also well maintained.

Cleanliness inside the room is lacking. Bathroom are not maintained to reasonable standards.

Everything the family is really sweet and so kind. The food was amazing. They did Help us organise Taxis and the Rixa. They also booked the Safari for us. We just Had an amazing stay there.

faucet and pipe were leaking, no cupboard, table, floor tiles broken. for people who don't have vehicle it's very difficult to reach because of bad roads.

The hosts were very friendly and accommodating. Coffee, tea and water were complimentary and if you stay at Gokul Farmhouse, make sure to have your meals there; the food is exceptionally good (dinner even more so than breakfast). Our little bungalow was fine but pretty basic (particularly with regards to the rather high room rate we were charged). The swimming pool looked lovely and clean, but I didn’t go for a swim as the pool was crowded with youngsters all day long. Overall, we enjoyed our stay, although one night instead of two would have probably been sufficient for us.

The location is very rural, which is good for some but not so desirable for others. The dirt track leading to the property is very bumpy, and when you’re not on safari, you can go for a walk through the fields but otherwise there’s nothing much to do. The sink and toilet in our bungalow desperately need a deep clean, as they looked like they haven’t had a proper scrub in a very long time. Not sure whether the woollen blankets provided as bedding are washed for every new guest; it would be much nicer to just provide some sheets. Lots of ants in the bathroom, but I assume that’s not the management’s fault. A hook next to the sink would be a nice touch, so one can have a towel by the sink.

Hospitality at its best. Particularly the whole family with Sandeep bhai and Natha bhai welcomes the hosts with such a friendly way that you feel at home. Great stay. Highly recommended.
