The Ardingly Inn

Friendly staff, good facilities and comfortable and clean rooms.

They don't do food on a Tuesday, so I had to go up the road. It wasn't a great hassle but would of prefered to stay on site.

I found staff very helpful indeed. The building was clearly built as an inn, so that means there is more room than usual for a country pub, although not the same level of facilities as a hotel. Decent free car park.

It's expensive for a pub bedroom in low season.

The Ardingly Inn is ideal for visiting the Bluebell steam railway. The friendly atmosphere and helpful staff created a happy stay. The breakfasts were freshly cooked and really tasty. My room was quiet and comfortable. There was always plenty of parking space.

The manager had only been there for three weeks and was obviously making a positive impact. She inherited a difficult situation and I am sure everything will be even better when I next visit.

Friendly staff and great breakfast. Had a meal there too, which was excellent. Room was well appointed and quiet.

Nothing bad. It was all good. However, if you're staying there because it's close to Highley Manor wedding venue, some local taxi firms charge excessive amounts for the journey to and from there.

Breakfast was lovely and the gentleman/chef was very polite and helpful. We were greeted with a smile and shown to our room personally with an explanation of where thing's were etc

There was no complimentary soap in the bathroom (very minor point) and the shower was hard to adjust for temperature. Could do with a couple more sockets by the bed as I have to use a machine to sleep with but again I made it work

The location was good and the staff were friendly.

They weren't very well organised. Heating wasn't on in the rooms until we told them. Only 1 coat hanger in our room had to ask for more. Coffee machine wasn't working the first morning. Room and ensuite very cramped.

Der var tydeligvis meget mangelfuld kommunikation mellem personalet. Da jeg ankom vidste receptionen ikke at jeg havde bestilt et værelse og det tog lang tid for at kontakte chefen og få dette bekræftet. Irriterende at skulle stå og vente når man har rejst og er træt. Der var ingen information om at værelserne ikke blev serviceret næste dag(jeg havde bestilt 2 overnatninger) . Betjeningen var venlig men meget langsom.
