La MaSia is located in a remote area just off the main road. The house is beautiful, the room with pool view is amazing. Not only views over the (not heated) pool but also over the lake, fields etc. It felt for us like being back in South Africa, except no lions, elephants and giraffes here. Lots of beautiful birds. The sound of all the animals at night was so loud that we closed the door and turned on the AC. The welcome by Teresa was superb, what a wonderful host she is. There is a living room to share in the middle, where also the delicious breakfast is served.

There are a couple of things we did not like. If you want to eat your self brought food in the living room you will have to pay 15 dollars per person. Also for some other things there are extra charges. Feels absolutely less welcoming to me. Via booking.com I received a message from the owner if we were interesting in buying land in the vicinity. I don’t think the owner should and is allowed to use booking.com for this.
