GBThis place was exactly as pictured, and after hot days exploring, room 4 felt like a genuine little sanctuary, with AC and the fan, it cooled quickly. Spotlessly clean and clearly well cared for, it came equipped with a new fridge freezer, kettle, plenty of power sockets, and a 20l water container with tap. Although self check in was described, I was warmly welcomed by both the host and her sister, who were generous with local recommendations. Continued communication was via WhatsApp. Set within a gated residential courtyard, surrounded by local people, roosters at dawn, motorcycles coming and going, and evening banter and debate, it was something many places don’t offer, a real glimpse into everyday local life. Just bring some earplugs if you want to sleep in after about 7am.
There were only minor drawbacks during my four night stay, but they are worth mentioning. The rear patio, which would normally offer a peaceful outdoor space and distant river views, was unavailable due to improvement works taking place during my visit. I’m sure this will be completed very soon and will make this area an amazing place to chill out - day and night. The room itself was bright and airy, though the opaque windows meant there was no easy way to check the weather before heading out. I also experienced two brief water outages and one short power cut, though none lasted long enough to cause any real inconvenience.
GBAmazing location right on the river, with such a lovely view from the balcony. Bikes available free of charge to explore the other side of the river. Super helpful host, organised a great tour of the floating markets for us, and told us about other local eateries/attractions. Would definitely stay again!
A little far out of town, but that didn’t matter as it’s a very quick grab (~40,000VND so reasonable too) to the city centre.
