It has an open space to accommodate everyone especially the kids. It is very safe and comfortable. I really liked it wish to come back again.

The bar fridge is over freezing and spoiling the fruits.

It was comfortable second time I am going there and me personally, I'd go again the staff is very kind and there's not much noise at all it's very quiet is what I'm trying to say and I slept like a baby.

There's only one tenant that's an issue his been there for months now but is a bit rude, especially to the staff for no reason at all.

Location is good, good security. Remote-controlled gate that is strictly kept closed from late afternoon onward. Never felt unsafe but always vigilant after exiting the property. The entrance door is kept locked, and you can lock up your own room. Surrounding neighbourhood is clean and the building on the outside is well-kept. Rooms are standardly proofed for sound, and it was a peaceful stay overall. I stayed during the week. To note is the owner/manager staying on the property on the ground floor (didn't bother me), and considering clients' needs this is probably a good thing (see below). A TV with Netflix available for entertainment and the wifi connection is good.

Having noted the owner's responses to some of the earlier reviews on this platform, I am considering them in writing the following points: - The inside of the building is not 5-star but they are still renovating (seems to be taking longer than reported here on this platform). However, the room had all the basics - a very clean toilet, a shower (could make more effort in scrubbing it) and clean linen and towels. Also a small bar fridge, a cup, tea and coffee and a kettle. Since it is a self-catering unit they could provide cutlery and a plate and/or bowl; not sure if these are stocked in their kitchen (it could be their private kitchen though as they don't cater food at all). Perhaps a heads-up to bring your own might help. - To improve on: owner/staff could be more professionally presented to welcome guests; Struggled to navigate the TV remote so reception had to assist (wasn't shown when arriving). Could not unlock the front door with the key given (the lady herself could but I could not, so ease of access was a problem). One of the two remotes gave up the ghost so we had one remote to work with - I went out early mornings for a run, and would return late from my conference and visiting friends, so this was an inconvenience. Although the lady did not mind me calling her up at whatever time, she was very helpful. The first stream of water from the tap in the room is brown so you have to wait for clear water to come through; I was reassured it's safe for drinking but did not want to risk it being there for a conference. - Room service is not a given, so you have to request this. Had to request after day 3 as the towels were not fresh anymore and the rubbish bin was filled to the trim, attracting a cockroach. Cleaning out rubbish timeously might help mitigate this.

We had a last minute change of plan and were so thrilled to be able to book in the evening for arrival that night. We had such a friendly welcome and were given everything we needed. We were very grateful! Thank you!

The staff was kind and the area is safe.

My mother and I stayed in room 6 which was upstairs. The headboard was very dusty. The shower did not drain the water well and it was flooding. One of the rules was no smoking inside but you could smell a burning cigarette in the hallway. The hosts stay in the same building downstairs and we were not informed that they have a dog until we arrived on the day during check in. The rooms aren't sound proof as the walls are of prefab material so we were not comfortable with increasing volume while watching TV and we could hear the people next door to our room. The pictures are deceiving. We could have extended our stay as we were going to be in Cpt for a week but we were not happy with the condition of the place.

We received such a warm welcome when we arrived, it was as if we had known everyone for ages. What a lovely, warm and friendly atmosphere. Our room and bathroom was beautiful, clean and spacious. Many thanks to all for making our stay an unforgettable experience. We WILL be visiting again when ever in Cape Town.
